The Problems You'll Solve

At Carta, our employees set out on a mission to unlock the power of equity ownership for more people in more places. We believe that the problems we solve today unlock the opportunities of tomorrow. You have an innate desire to marry a best-in-class event experience with a unique Carta voice. You thrive in a high-velocity environment where "fast-paced" is the baseline, and you aren't afraid to jump into the deep end to help the team cross the finish line. You bring your events expertise to support Carta’s marketing functions, understanding how an event experience completes the user journey. You are a holistic thinker who can see around corners, anticipating problems before they arise and solving them with an open mind even when timelines and budgets are tight. Above all, you possess a true "owner mentality"—no detail is too small and no task is beneath you if it means delivering a world-class experience for our users. As an Event Marketing Associate, you’ll work to:

  • Strategic Design & Ownership  - Architect and own event strategy for VC and PE segments. You will ensure every initiative—from intimate roundtables to large-scale virtual experiences—aligns with Carta’s revenue goals and brand positioning.
  • Revenue & Demand Generation - Design event programming specifically engineered to accelerate the sales funnel. You are responsible for identifying opportunities for lead capture and conversion that result in measurable Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).
  • End-to-End Execution & Agency-  Manage the full lifecycle of high-velocity live and virtual experiences. You exercise independent judgment on budget allocation, vendor selection, and resource management to deliver world-class experiences that reflect the Carta brand, even under tight constraints.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Act as an advisor to internal stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, and Product. Bridge the gap between various departments to ensure event outcomes amplify broader organizational objectives and marketing messages.
  • Ecosystem Orchestration - Identify strategic partnerships with ecosystem influencers and outside organizations. Your goal is to find synergies that amplify Carta’s message to a wider audience of owners and stakeholders.
  • Operational Excellence & Real-Time Problem Solving - Solve complex, high-stakes logistical puzzles in real-time. You are empowered to make critical decisions on the fly, maintaining a proactive "jump-in" attitude and brand integrity during high-pressure situations.
  • Performance Analysis & ROI - Drive quantifiable results by aligning with executive leadership on ROI goals. You will set clear expectations for event performance and deliver deep-dive post-event analyses to inform future investment and strategy.

The Team You'll Work With

You’ll be joining our Marketing team. You will be a key player within the Marketing organization on our dedicated Events team. We manage an ambitious calendar of live and virtual events that scale from intimate, high-touch gatherings to large-scale premium experiences. Our team moves fast to keep up with Carta’s rapid growth, and we are looking for a teammate who is eager to get their hands dirty, learn the ropes of the industry, and build a meaningful career in Events.

About You

  • Cross-Functional Influence: You are a confident and considerate communicator who can put yourself in others' shoes to influence outcomes and solve problems collaboratively.
  • Strategic Problem Solving: You are reliable and open-minded, acting as a go-to partner for the team to ideate and navigate around roadblocks in the planning process.
  • Industry Fluency: You have 3+  years of experience in event coordination or a related field, with a strong interest or background in the Venture Capital and Private Equity ecosystems.
  • Passionate "All-In" Attitude: You have a genuine passion for events (live and virtual) and a "no task too small" mentality. Whether it's high-level strategy or on-site logistics, you are ready to jump in and help the team win.
  • Must be able to travel 30% of the time on extended trips across the U.S. and possibly internationally

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
