Position Overview
As an Associate Loan Officer, you provide direct sales and support to one or more Senior Loan Officers, serving as a key point of contact for borrowers and retailer partners. Associate Loan Officer manages the pipeline from application through processing submission, ensuring files move efficiently, borrowers stay informed, and the Senior Loan Officer is free to focus on business development. This role is an ideal entry point into mortgage origination, with a defined path toward NMLS licensing and a producing Loan Officer role for high performers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Loan Officers in managing borrower relationships throughout the mortgage origination process.
- Conduct inbound and outbound borrower calls to gather information, provide status updates, answer questions, and support loan progression.
- Learn and apply the company's sales methodology, customer service standards, and mortgage origination best practices.
- Monitor loan pipelines and assist in moving applications efficiently from application to prequalification.
- Accurately update information within the Loan Origination System (LOS), CRM, and other company systems.
- Develop knowledge of manufactured housing loan products, lending guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, disclosure requirements, and applicable lending regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development programs designed to prepare for a future Loan Officer role.
- Shadow experienced Loan Officers and sales leaders to develop consultative sales, communication, and borrower engagement skills.
- Build proficiency in identifying borrower needs and helping connect borrowers with appropriate financing solutions under the guidance of licensed Loan Officers.
- Contribute to team production goals through strong organization, responsiveness, and attention to detail.

- Cross-functional exposure to Processing, Underwriting, Closing, and Funding teams to build a well-rounded understanding of the mortgage lifecycle.

What you will need to join Cascade
- 4-year college degree
- 1 year mortgage experience
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, including professional written, verbal, and active listening abilities.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and thrive in a team-oriented, results-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze information, identify issues, and exercise sound judgment when resolving problems.
- Proficiency with computer applications and technology, with the ability to efficiently learn and navigate loan origination systems and other business software.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
