Security Training Specialist
*This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance or a TS (with the ability to obtain a CI poly)
Case Management Consulting is seeking a security training specialist to support the Security Education and Awareness Team. This candidate must be able to support the Office of Security, SIS, within the Security and Installations Directorate (SI). The mission of the office is to secure NGA’s people, facilities, information, and systems while providing guidance and oversight to support an effective protection program.
Duties include:
- Provide subject matter expertise, assistance, recommendations and hands-on-support to all of the customers Security Education and Awareness (SEA) programs.
- Maintain a program that consistently brings security issues to the attention of the government.
- Support training course administration to include; scheduling students for internal and external training, and customer service.
- Maintain distribution list of customers for product inventories.
- Support internal and external SEA events to include occasional travel.
- Provide overall SEA program expertise.
- Support execution of the Information Security Program (ISP) and Operations Security (OPSEC) Program.
- Plan, coordinate, schedule and market the SEA Program both locally and regionally to include an annual security event at the customers Headquarters and major sites.
- Evaluate SEA program efficacy and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare SEA briefings and products (e.g., website content and computer-based training).
- Assist the customers SEA team and other Divisions to determine the scope and direction of the Program.
- Establish and maintain training relationships and networking with external government agencies.
- Assist in the management of the SEA material inventory, ordering and tracking.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- An active TS/SCI clearance or a TS (with the ability to obtain a CI poly).
- Possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in business or management related field
- Demonstrated experience in administrative management and support.
- Experience with Defense Travel System (DTS), other travel management software and MET travel planning, coordination, and support.
- Possess at least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience of Microsoft Office Applications and demonstrate the ability to independently develop material using these applications.
- The ability to write and communicate well.
- Experience with NCERTS, tracking internal and external tasks, and staff packages.
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in staff officer roles.
- Self-starter who can operate well within the Component Leadership Team.
