IT Auditor Specialist

CASE Management Consulting is seeking an IT Audit Specialist to support IT audit management activities within a DoD and Intelligence Community environment. This role supports recurring audits and inspections including FISMA, Financial Statement Audits (FSA), and OIG inspections, ensuring audit readiness, vulnerability tracking, and remediation coordination across information systems.

Your Impactful Duties:

• Support the IT Audit Management (ITAM) function by independently reviewing audit evidence, validating responses, and coordinating remediation activities.
• Manage audit lifecycle activities including receipt, coordination, tracking, remediation, and reporting for recurring and ad-hoc audits.
• Track system vulnerabilities and audit correspondence while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to address audit findings.
• Support OMB A-123 internal controls testing to assist in completing the Statement of Assurance and evaluating compliance with policies and regulations.
• Develop written communications and briefings for NGA Audit Committee members and CIO-T leadership regarding audit findings and corrective actions.
• Coordinate audit responses, status updates, and leadership approvals while facilitating meetings to monitor remediation progress.
• Provide analysis, reports, and metrics to leadership on audit findings, vulnerabilities, and remediation status.
• Recommend process improvements and best practices to enhance audit readiness and compliance efforts.

Requirements:

• 7–10 years of experience in Information Technology, Information Assurance, Cyber Security, Engineering, or related functional areas.
• Experience supporting IT audits, assessments, or compliance activities within government or industry environments.
• Working knowledge of OMB Circular A-123, FISMA, and Financial Statement Audit (FSA) requirements.
• Experience coordinating activities related to IT audits and remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Assurance, Cyber Security, Engineering, or related field.
