Senior Accountant

Purpose of Position:

CASETiFY is one of the leading global lifestyle brands to offer customizable tech accessories. As we continue to scale our presence in Korea, we are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to drive our financial operations. Reporting to the Sr. Finance Manager, this role will own the full spectrum of accounting, from retail settlement and inventory control to tax compliance, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a high-growth environment.

Job Description: 

Financial Accounting & Month-end Closing

• Lead the month-end and year-end closing process.
• Prepare and post various types of bills and  journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and allocations.
• Manage daily accounting operations, including oversight of AR/AP clearing and complex bank reconciliations.
• Maintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation, disposals, and periodic physical counts.
• Manage monthly intercompany transactions by reviewing automated transactions in ERP and directly communicating with HQ to correct discrepancies.
• Generate a monthly invoice for intercompany recharge expenses.

Treasury

• Monitor daily banking transactions and develop weekly bank balance by adding definitions of each transaction. 
• Prepare Treasury-related journal entries and reflect them during month-end closing.
• Reconcile the payment list with supporting documents and request approval to the manager.
• Conduct monthly reviews of employee expense reports to ensure alignment with internal policies and perform full reconciliation of supporting receipts

Tax & Compliance

• Manage VAT, CIT, and withholding tax filings in coordination with external tax advisors.
• Ensure all financial activities comply with local Korean tax laws and regulations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for both annual local statutory audits and components audits.

Requirement: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting department of a multinational company especially in retail business (Department stores)
• Experience in VAT & CIT return
• Native Korean speaker with a good command in English 
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Willing to learn and able to work under a dynamic environment, with strong emphasis on teamwork
