CASETiFY Japan is seeking an Accountant to support accounting and financial operations and ensure efficient internal processes.

This role reports directly to the Finance Manager and is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, monthly and year-end closing, and financial reporting activities. The position also involves collaboration with global teams, providing opportunities to work in an international environment and gain exposure to cross-border finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Monthly & Year-End Closing

Prepare invoices, bills, and journal entries in the ERP system for financial closing
Support monthly and year-end closing processes
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Maintain fixed asset records and other balance sheet items
Prepare raw data for store P&L updates
Reconcile intercompany transactions
Support Finance Manager in improving inventory-related processes

Financial & Non-Financial Reporting

Support data compilation for financial reporting submissions
Assist in preparing non-financial reports required by global teams

Tax Filing Support

Prepare fixed asset listings in coordination with retail and back-office teams
Support documentation required for annual tax filings

Budgeting Support

Assist in budget preparation and analysis processes led by the Finance Manager

Other Responsibilities

Handle ad hoc tasks related to finance and accounting as required

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
More than 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or taxation
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting systems (ERP experience preferred)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
(English reading and writing skills are essential)
