Engineering Manager, Digital Commerce Product - Shenzhen

Purpose of Position
- The Engineering Manager, Digital Commerce Product will be responsible for leading the technical planning, delivery management, and engineering coordination of the next generation CASETiFY’s customer-facing digital commerce products. The incumbent will work closely with product, design, business stakeholders, internal technology teams, and external vendors to define the development roadmap, drive execution priorities, and ensure high-quality and scalable solutions that support business growth.
- The incumbent is expected to bring strong hands-on development experience in customer-facing products, particularly eCommerce platforms, mini-programs, and mobile applications, together with solid engineering management capabilities to align technical direction, architecture, delivery approach, and operational readiness in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Job Description
- Lead the engineering planning and delivery management for digital commerce products, including eCommerce platforms, mini-programs, mobile applications, and other customer-facing digital experiences,
- Work closely with product, design, business, and technology stakeholders to define the technology roadmap, delivery priorities, architecture direction, and implementation plans aligned with business objectives,
- Act as the key engineering counterpart in managing external vendors and development partners, ensuring clear scope, strong communication, delivery quality, and technical alignment with CASETiFY standards,
- Collaborate with internal teams across platform, architecture, infrastructure, security, QA, data, and operations to ensure integrated and scalable solution delivery,
- Translate product roadmap and business requirements into structured engineering plans, solution designs, technical requirements, and delivery milestones,
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance across web, mini-program, and mobile app ecosystems, supporting both new feature delivery and continuous platform improvement,
- Ensure solutions are designed and delivered with strong focus on scalability, maintainability, security, performance, and customer experience,
- Review technical approaches, development practices, code quality, testing coverage, and release readiness to maintain strong engineering standards,
- Support integration planning across digital commerce ecosystems including CMS, payment, CRM, OMS, loyalty, marketing tools, analytics, and other enterprise platforms,
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and resource constraints early, and drive timely mitigation and resolution,
- Monitor delivery progress, production quality, and post-launch performance, and work with relevant teams on optimization and technical debt management,
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, structured execution, and continuous improvement across both internal and vendor teams.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on software development experience with proven track record in customer-facing digital products
- Practical experience in developing and delivering eCommerce platforms, mini-programs, and mobile applications, with good understanding of digital customer journeys
- Solid experience in engineering management, technical delivery leadership, or solution delivery coordination in fast-paced digital product environments
- Experience in managing external vendors or development partners, including scope management, technical alignment, quality control, and delivery governance
- Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices including system design, API integration, testing, debugging, release management, and secure development
- Good knowledge of digital commerce ecosystems including storefront, product catalog, cart, checkout, payment, promotions, customer account, and post-purchase journeys
- Experience working across cross-functional teams including product, design, QA, infrastructure, security, data, and business stakeholders
- Strong ability to define technical roadmap and delivery direction while balancing business priorities, technical feasibility, quality, and speed
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal teams and external partners
- Known for promoting engineering best practices, structured execution, collaboration, and ownership
- At least 7-10 years of relevant working experience in software engineering, digital product development, or related roles, with prior leadership experience preferred
- Experience in eCommerce, retail, omnichannel, or other consumer-facing digital businesses is highly preferred
- Familiarity with mini-program ecosystems, app release processes, and digital commerce platform integrations is a strong plus
- Experience in multicultural and fast-paced environments is preferred
- Happy to work in a buzzing multicultural environment
- Proficient in spoken and written Chinese and English
