Facilities Coordinator

 

We are seeking a highly proactive, hands-on Facilities Coordinator to support the daily operation, maintenance, and readiness of Castelion’s Midland, Texas site.

This is a field-focused role for someone who is mechanically inclined, resourceful, and comfortable using tools, troubleshooting building issues, coordinating vendors, and jumping in wherever needed. You’ll support building maintenance, site services, supplies, lunch coordination, and facilities projects while partnering closely with the Facilities Manager and broader site team.

This is not a primarily administrative role. You’ll spend significant time walking the site, identifying issues, performing basic repairs, supporting contractors, and driving problems to resolution.

This is a full-time, on-site position requiring indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions and occasional support outside standard business hours.

Responsibilities

 

  • Perform basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, carpentry, hardware, and general facility repairs within appropriate skill levels
  • Troubleshoot facility issues and coordinate specialized contractors when needed
  • Conduct regular site walkthroughs to identify and resolve maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and readiness issues
  • Use hand and power tools for repairs, installations, assembly, and preventative maintenance
  • Support preventative maintenance, inspections, facility projects, equipment installations, and site improvements
  • Coordinate vendors and contractors, verify work completion, and track follow-ups
  • Manage work orders and facilities requests through resolution
  • Coordinate recurring site services including janitorial, waste, pest control, landscaping, water, and portable restrooms
  • Maintain facility, maintenance, kitchen, snack, and beverage supplies
  • Coordinate daily employee lunches, deliveries, setup, and issue resolution
  • Receive and move supplies, materials, and deliveries throughout the site
  • Partner with EHS, Security, Operations, and other teams to maintain a safe, operationally ready site
  • Support visitors, events, employee activities, and other site needs
  • Take ownership of unexpected facilities issues and drive them to resolution

Basic Qualifications

 

  • 2+ years of experience in facilities, building, industrial, or maintenance operations
  • Hands-on experience with common hand and power tools
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and general building systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs
  • Ability to recognize when issues require a licensed trade or specialized contractor
  • Experience with preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, or facility upkeep
  • Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, deliveries, or service providers
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, bending, reaching, standing, and walking
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to support occasional needs outside standard business hours

Preferred Skills and Experience

 

  • Experience as a Facilities Technician, Maintenance Technician, Building Engineer, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or similar
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, defense, test, or other technically complex environments
  • Experience with preventative maintenance and facility equipment
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, pumps, motors, compressed air, or other industrial systems
  • Experience supporting construction, equipment installation, facility projects, or site improvements
  • Experience coordinating contractors and skilled trades
  • Experience with purchasing, vendor quotes, POs, invoices, parts, tools, and maintenance supplies
  • Familiarity with work order, ticketing, preventative maintenance, or project tracking systems
  • Mechanically inclined, resourceful, team-oriented, and willing to take on whatever is needed to keep the site operational
