Outcomes:
- Build a strong, lean, and agile nightshift R&D team in support of the Blackbeard program.
- On time delivery of all flight deliverables for 2026
- Staff up for 5/week blackbeard rate by Q1 2027.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage the majority of nightshift technicians across multiple disciplines at Castelion.
- Hire and develop a team of technicians in support of Castelion LRIP production goals.
- Supervise shop floor activity, including daily schedules and work flow.
- Lead and manage a staff of up to 30 technicians, including performance management.
- Ensure all required skillsets are adequately sourced on the R&D team.
- Maintain tooling and consumable inventory
- Identify and develop training as required from the skills matrix
- Track and execute on deliverables out of the R&D shop.
- Continuous process improvement.
Preferred skills and experience:
- 5+ years in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Bachelors degree in an associated field.
- 3+ years in a supervisory or lead technician role.
- Intimate knowledge of MES software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
