Avionics Manufacturing Specialist, Electrical Integration
Castelion is seeking an Avionics Manufacturing Specialist, Electrical Integration to develop and scale the processes used to integrate flight-critical avionics hardware into vehicle-level assemblies.
You will work hands-on across electrical installation, avionics integration, test, troubleshooting, and final production readiness. This role will bridge component-level manufacturing and vehicle integration, ensuring avionics hardware can be installed, tested, and produced efficiently at increasing production rates.
Responsibilities
Develop and improve manufacturing processes for avionics and electrical integration
Support installation and integration of PCBAs, harnesses, sensors, flight computers, power electronics, and other avionics hardware
Partner with design engineering to improve installation, serviceability, manufacturability, and production readiness
Develop tooling, fixtures, work instructions, and standardized integration processes
Troubleshoot electrical and integration issues and lead root-cause and corrective-action efforts
Develop and improve electrical checkout and production test processes
Train and mentor technicians on avionics integration and workmanship standards
Support new product introduction and transition new vehicle designs into production
Identify opportunities to improve build sequence, cycle time, quality, and production throughput
Basic Qualifications
Experience with electrical, avionics, or electromechanical integration
Experience installing and troubleshooting harnesses, electronics, and electrical systems
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and test documentation
Experience developing or improving manufacturing or integration processes
Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience with aerospace, defense, launch vehicle, missile, or flight hardware
Experience with avionics checkout and production test
Experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620 or aerospace workmanship standards
Experience developing integration tooling, fixtures, and test equipment
Experience supporting vehicle-level assembly and production
