CastleOak’s Money Fund Solutions group (part of our full suite of Liquidity Solutions products) focuses on providing our clients best-in-class liquidity solutions to help them preserve, manage, and maximize their cash and cash equivalents.  Our two core products are:

  • Money Fund Access (MFA): Industry Leading short-term money fund and liquidity trading portal offering seamless solutions to corporate and institutional investors, powered by State Street Fund Connect technology

  • CastleOak Money Fund Share Classes: Partnership with Morgan Stanley’s Investment Management arm to offer clients access to our dedicated share class of their US Government and Prime Money Market portfolios

 

CastleOak is currently seeking a business development professional to join our Liquidity Solutions team. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth across products for a wide range of institutional clients, including multi-national corporations, asset managers, insurance companies, municipal investors, and hedge funds.  You will be responsible for the entire sales process from prospecting to closing, and will be part of a small, entrepreneurial team.  With a consultative, solutions-oriented sales approach, you will be expected to demonstrate initiative, energy, and superior networking skills to develop trust and accountability across our client base and within our organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the client's needs to maximize growth and profitability

  • Analyze the competitive landscape to help identify and prioritize new product development and ensure we are positioning our products optimally

  • Develop packaged advisory solutions appropriate for client segments which align with core cash treasury products and deeper, broader, multi-faceted banking relationships

  • Collaborate with Investment Banking, Capital Markets, and Fixed Income Sales to develop and prioritize sales strategies for a range of client segments

  • In collaboration with CastleOak management, maintain close, highly interactive, value-added relationships with CastleOak’s clients and cash management institutional partnerships

  • Proactively identify opportunities to increase share of wallet and build market share by improving sales acquisition, penetration and positioning in the marketplace

  • Be a thought leader on cash management and money market fund initiatives balancing revenue and volume opportunities with profitability targets

  • Provide ongoing training and market updates to Relationship Bankers and Fixed Income Sales on liquidity product developments and value propositions

  • Accompany Relationship Bankers and Fixed Income Sales on client/prospect calls and develop solutions tailored to specific needs

  • Assist in the development & launching of targeted sales campaigns

  • Assist in the development of RFP responses

  • Tailor marketing and pitch materials to client segments

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ experience in the financial services industry, preferably inclusive of money market funds and/or financial technology

  • Solid understanding of institutional money market funds and short-term fixed income markets

  • Ability to create, assess, execute, and actively manage a marketing plan to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency

  • Self-motivated individual that can work both independently and within a team structure

  • Strong time management, organizational, detail-orientation, and problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency and desire to outperform goals

  • Excellent communication (verbal, written), presentation, and consultative skills

  • Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills

  • Self-starter with the ability to meet or exceed deadlines, prioritize, multi-task, and maintain flexibility in fast-paced, changing environment

  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and execute in an entrepreneurial environment

  • Ability to work from the NYC headquarters 3 days/week.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A proven track record of success in cultivating sales opportunities that resulted in winning new business

  • Experience designing and implementing sales strategies and effectively managing the sales cycle, including lead generation, prospecting, qualifying, business development and closing

  • Experience working with and knowledge of the buying behavior of corporations, financial institutions and local governments.  Demonstrated ability to translate an understanding of client buying behavior into tactical plans that increase segment growth (e.g. sales segmentation and planning, marketing campaigns, product positioning)

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade

  • Highly comfortable and experienced in cold calling, networking, and sourcing leads

  • Series 7, 63 (will be required within 3 months of hire)

Additional Details/Benefits

  • Work Type: Full-time, Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

  • Travel: 10%

NYC Pay Range

$125,000 - $175,000 USD
