The Mission

We are seeking a talented Principal Strategist, SaaS to join our growing Customer Strategy team. Your role will be to define and implement Caylent’s go-to-market strategy for SaaS customers, working closely with our Sales and Service Delivery teams to ensure successful solution delivery and customer satisfaction. In addition, you will be expected to deliver strategic engagements for our customers in a billable capacity. Finally, you will act as Caylent's primary expert across the SaaS company lifecycle, creating enablement materials and leading strategic customer engagements.


Your Assignment
Develop and Implement Caylent’s SaaS Go-To-Market

  • Craft and maintain our GTM strategy for supporting SaaS companies across their
    lifecycle, focusing on helping software-focused customers modernize and optimize their
    product offerings on AWS.
  • Collaborate with sellers to effectively bring the GTM strategy to AWS and our clients,
    targeting the acquisition of new strategic SaaS customers.
  • Maintain alignment with Technical Practices to ensure a holistic approach that addresses
    both market positioning and technical capabilities.

Deliver Strategic Engagements

  • Lead strategic engagements for key SaaS clients, providing expert insights to guide their
    digital strategy and maximize product success.
  • Support other delivery resources and Engagement Leaders in navigating the unique
    challenges of the SaaS industry, from integrating acquisitions to commercializing AI
    features within their products.

Industry Expertise – Syndication and Enablement

  • Enable internal teams (e.g., Account Executives, Customer Success Associates,
    Principal Consultants, Delivery personnel) with SaaS-customer knowledge, in
    collaboration with AWS.
  • Develop and curate SaaS-specific materials that align with Caylent’s frameworks.
  • Capture and disseminate wins, success stories, and best practices to foster a culture of
    learning and achievement.

KPIs

  • New Logo Acquisition: Acquire new strategic logos in the Software, Internet and ISV
    Vertical.
  • Growth in Bookings and Revenue
  • Billable Utilization: Serve as a billable resource, contributing to strategic customer
    engagements.

Your Qualifications

  • 10+ years of consulting experience in cloud and digital transformation, specifically within
    product companies or consulting for SaaS providers.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing GTM strategies targeting the SaaS
    customer lifecycle.
  • Deep understanding of the evolving software landscape, including subscription business
    models, continuous delivery, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic engagements with key clients, fostering
    high-value, long-term partnerships.
  • Experience guiding SaaS organizations through platform modernization, cloud migration,
    and DevOps transformations.
  • Highly collaborative, adaptable to a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Expertise in public cloud infrastructure and services, preferably AWS.
  • Willingness to travel for customer and AWS meetings.


Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS or other Cloud Certifications
  • Experience in competitive Cloud ecosystems beyond AWS (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Experience in AWS consulting with top-tier SaaS clients

The base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $196,500. If you are hired at Caylent, your base salary is determined on factors such as skills, experience, geographic location, and other market conditions. While it's not typical for offers to be made at the top of the range, please keep in mind that the base salary range is only one component of your overall compensation. Additionally, you are eligible for the benefits, bonuses, and incentives as listed above in the job description!
