Are you seeking opportunities to connect with people and build partnerships that advance climate action? As an Outreach Associate in the Climate Corps Fellowship program, you’ll be at the forefront of expanding energy efficiency programs and creating measurable impact across Oregon with TRC Companies.
This is a hybrid position with the expectation of onsite work 1 day per week & remote 4 days per week.
The primary focus of this Fellowship will be to recruit and enroll Oregon organizations in TRC's energy efficiency programs. The ideal candidate will be outgoing and comfortable conducting outreach, with a strong understanding of the importance of energy efficiency and the ability to clearly communicate its value to customers. This role offers a unique opportunity to advance climate resiliency by delivering energy efficiency programs directly to end users.
In addition to this core work, the fellow will take on weekly ad-hoc projects to support client needs. These projects will also provide opportunities for continued learning and professional development within the energy efficiency industry.

What You’ll Do
- Support client needs.
- Outreach to customers.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects (data projects, research projects, small presentations).
- Understand complicated topics and explain them to customers.
What We’re Looking For
- Coursework, training, or experience in fields related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, environmental science, data analysis, building efficiency, urban planning, engineering, public policy, sustainability, or facilities management.
- Be comfortable with the basic functions of one or more of the following: Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Be comfortable making cold calls.
- Be comfortable presenting both 1-on-1, or in a larger group.
- Be an organized self-starter.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- The ability to work onsite on a hybrid basis (onsite work 1 day per week & remote 4 days per week).
- This position requires the employee to be physically located within commuting distance of the site location at the time of hire. Only candidates currently residing within commuting distance of the site address will be considered.

- Authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the fellowship (SEI is unable to sponsor visas).
- May require occasional moving about to accomplish tasks, moving from one worksite to another, or adjusting or moving objects under 25-50 pounds in all directions.

- Experience in customer service, sales, or hospitality is a plus, but not required.
