
Intern Analyst, Private Equity
Banyan Capital Partners is looking for an Intern Analyst for an existing vacancy to join its Toronto-based investment management team for a 4-month internship (September 2026 – December 2026). This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a small group of senior private equity investment professionals and participate in all aspects of the investment process. A dynamic, fast-paced work environment where opportunities for learning and growth are abound. Interns will work closely with private equity professionals and gain hands-on experience in all stages of the investment process while learning about the private equity space, deal execution and investment management.
What You Will Do

Assist senior investment professionals in evaluating private equity investment opportunities including conducting in-depth research, performing financial analysis and preparing presentation materials

Assist in conducting due diligence and overall deal execution across a wide range of industry verticals

Monitor financial and operational performance of existing portfolio companies, assist in performing on-going valuations and monitoring ongoing developments in the portfolio company end market
What You Bring
The Intern Analyst position is geared towards students who are in their third or fourth year of an undergraduate degree with a focus on business, finance, accounting, or economics. We are seeking students with a strong academic and extracurricular track record, who are looking to build and grow their career in the world of private equity within Banyan Capital Partners. Previous professional co-op experience in private equity, mergers and acquisitions or other relevant areas is preferred.
In addition to the above, the successful candidate will have:

Some experience with financial modelling whether through coursework or in a professional setting

Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to present well-articulated ideas

Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight timelines and on multiple projects

The inclination of self-starter with the desire to work as part of a small team

Strong research, quantitative and analytical skills

Advanced working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
The salary for this position is $70,000 annually. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
