Analyst, Institutional Client Reporting (15-Month Contract)

Are you interested in joining one of Canada’s top performing asset managers? We are looking for an Analyst, Client Reporting, for an existing vacancy in our Institutional Client Reporting team. The Client Reporting Team is responsible for ensuring that client reports and other collateral materials are accurately set up, packaged, reviewed, signed off and distributed to clients on a timely basis. You will play a key role in enhancing the technical and functional capabilities of our Client Reporting solution suite. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, integrate, and maintain system functionalities that support high-quality, automated reporting for institutional and retail clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about delivering impactful solutions through technology. Our offices currently operate on a hybrid model with a combination of in office and remote working days throughout the week.

What You Will Do
  • Partner with internal teams to design, prioritize, and implement new features and functionality into the Client Reporting solution suite.
  • Actively participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions for reporting workflows.
  • Translate business logic into proprietary source code and apply logical rules for automated report production using third-party IDEs.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance report layouts using in-house tools and third-party technologies including Simcorp Coric and Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Fabric).
  • Monitor system performance to ensure availability and reliability.
  • Schedule and prioritize upgrades and maintenance activities in collaboration with the Information Systems teams.
  • Provide technical support to operational teams and act as a Subject Matter Expert on reporting applications and integrations.
  • Troubleshoot issues and liaise with Information Systems and third-party providers to implement fixes and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with operational team members to create, maintain, and enhance client reports and marketing collateral.
  • Advise on best practices and support the operational Client Reporting Team in report creation and maintenance.
  • Provide training and support for internal stakeholders on reporting systems and processes.
  • Analyze current processes and recommend improvements to maximize efficiency and minimize risk.
  • Document new and existing reporting system releases and workflows.
  • Perform quality control checks and ensure compliance with reporting standards.
  • Participate in the full reporting lifecycle: requirements gathering, assessments, design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned.
What You Bring
  • Three to four years of related working experience is preferred
  • An undergraduate degree
  • Experience in a financial services firm or investment management firm and/or completion of the Canadian Securities Course or the CFA Society Investment Foundations Program would be an asset
  • You challenge the status quo and actively seek out new technologies and approaches to improve reporting systems and processes.
  • You work effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and foster a one-team mindset.
  • You manage multiple initiatives with precision and flexibility, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
  • You evaluate business challenges with a strategic lens and propose thoughtful, scalable solutions.
  • You understand the foundations of code writing, debugging, and version control, and can engage confidently with development teams. Familiarity with Simcorp Coric and Microsoft Power Platform is a strong asset. Experience with Power Automate is strongly preferred.
  • You bridge the gap between business and technical teams, simplifying complex concepts and ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
  • You anticipate client needs, deliver with excellence, and maintain a high standard of professionalism in all interactions.
The salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation for this position.
