Senior Analyst, Client Reporting Development Team

Interested in joining one of Canada’s top performing asset managers?  We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Client Reporting Development Team. The role is suited for a technical savvy individual whose career objectives include exposure to the operational and technical side of the finance industry; or an individual that is applying their technical background to the operational business side of the finance industry. Having been exposed to or having a keen interest in researching and learning new technologies and developing & implementing new business processes is key. The jobholder must have a positive attitude, exceptional attention to detail and excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to bridge Information Systems needs with business needs. We require those who can demonstrate a strong ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks. The ideal individual is energetic, dynamic and driven to succeed. Our offices currently operate on a hybrid model with a combination of in office and remote working days throughout the week

What You Will Do

  • System Design & Enhancement
    •  Independently lead the design, prioritization, and implementation of new features and enhancements within the Client Reporting solution suite, exercising sound judgment on technical and business trade‑offs
    • Act as a senior contributor in system design discussions, proactively shaping architectural decisions and recommending scalable, future‑state reporting workflows. Translate complex business logic into proprietary source code and apply logical rules for automated report production using third-party IDEs ensuring robustness, reusability, and maintainability.
    •  Own the end‑to‑end build, maintenance, and enhancement of report layouts using in-house tools and third-party technologies including Simcorp Coric and Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Fabric
 
  • Performance Monitoring & Technical Support
    • Independently monitor system performance to ensure availability and reliability, identifying risks, inefficiencies, and failure points to ensure high availability and reliability of reporting solutions.
    • Independently plan, prioritize, and coordinate system upgrades, releases, and maintenance activities, exercising sound judgment and partnering with Information Systems to ensure stability, scalability, and minimal disruption to reporting operation
    • Provide technical support to operational teams and act as a Subject Matter Expert on reporting applications and integrations providing authoritative guidance and acting as a key escalation point for complex or high impact issues
    • Lead advanced troubleshooting efforts, independently diagnosing root causes and coordinating with Information Systems and third‑party vendors to implement durable fixes, enhancements, and preventative controls
 
  • Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
    • Collaborate with operational team members to design, enhance, and maintain client reports and marketing collateral.
    • Set and reinforce best practices and support the operational Client Reporting Team in report creation and maintenance.
    • Lead training and knowledge‑transfer initiatives for internal stakeholders on reporting systems and processes
 
  • Process Optimization & Documentation
    •  Independently assess end‑to‑end reporting processes and recommend improvements to maximize efficiency and minimize risk.
    • Maintain clear, audit‑ready documentation for new and existing reporting system releases and workflows.
    • Perform quality control checks and ensure compliance with reporting standards
 
  • Project Involvement
    •  Play a senior role across the full reporting lifecycle: requirements gathering, assessments, design, development, testing, and implementation - operating with minimal oversight.
    • Contribute senior expertise to strategic initiatives and complex projects, providing thought leadership, risk awareness

What You Bring
  • 5-7 years of related working experience
  • An undergraduate degree
  • Hands‑on experience developing or maintaining code‑based solutions.
  • Experience in a financial services firm or investment management firm and/or completion of the Canadian Securities Course or the CFA Society Investment Foundations Program would be an asset
