Yardi Application Specialist

The Yardi Application Specialist is responsible for Tier 1 and Tier 2 operational support of the Yardi platform within a diversified asset management business. Yardi supports both investment accounting for alternative funds and vehicles across real estate, infrastructure, private credit, and private equity, as well as corporate and operating company accounting. The role ensures platform stability, accurate configuration, reliable data flows, and effective user support across stakeholders. The focus of this role is on day-to-day application support, configuration, and operational continuity.


What You Will Do:

 

Application Support & Operational Continuity

 

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for Yardi across investment funds and operating entities, addressing incidents, service requests, and operational issues.

  • Troubleshoot functional issues related to investment accounting, corporate accounting, consolidations, intercompany activity, and management reporting.

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex operational issues, coordinating with internal technology teams and external vendors where required.

  • Ensure timely resolution of issues impacting NAV production, financial close, investor reporting, and corporate financial statements.

System Configuration & Administration

  • Configure and maintain Yardi structures to support multiple asset classes and operating models, including funds, legal entities, properties, operating companies, andholding structures.

  • Maintain charts of accounts, accounting rules, workflows, consolidation hierarchies, currency setups, and reporting dimensions for both investment and corporate accounting.

  • Perform system administration activities including user access, role-based security, and environment coordination in line with internal control requirements.

Investment & Corporate Accounting Support

  • Support Yardi processing for capital activity, income and expense allocations, accruals, valuations, eliminations, and consolidations across alternative investment structures.

  • Support corporate accounting processes for management companies and operating entities, including intercompany transactions, cost allocations, and statutory vs. management reporting.

  • Partner with Investment and Corporate Accounting teams to resolve accounting-driven system issues while maintaining alignment with approved accounting policies.

Data Interfaces

  • Support inbound and outbound data integrations between Yardi and upstream/downstream systems (e.g., portfolio management, treasury, reporting, and data platforms).

Operational Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Transformation resources by providing operational input, issue trends, and system insights.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of application support processes, controls, and service delivery.


What You Bring

  • Demonstrated experience providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for Yardi within an asset management, private markets, or complex investment environment.

  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts across multiple asset classes (e.g., real estate, infrastructure, private credit, private equity).

  • Solid knowledge of corporate accounting and consolidation concepts for management companies and operating entities.

  • Hands-on experience with Yardi configuration, data analysis, troubleshooting, and operational support.

  • Familiarity with SQL, data queries and ETL processes is an asset.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively in close-cycle environments.

  • Clear communicator with a service-oriented, accountable approach and experience supporting senior finance stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

  • Experience with Yardi Investment Management modules strongly preferred; exposure to other investment or accounting platforms is beneficial.
