Senior Systems Analyst

Interested in joining one of Canada’s top performing asset managers?  We are looking for a Senior Systems Analyst to join our Information Systems team. We are a passionate team that resolves complex problems by applying technology to support and manage a variety of business applications and systems that are critical to our firm's continued success. You will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting business applications in the CRM and Corporate Systems portfolio, such as our client reporting platform, client portals, and integrations. You'll be joining a friendly, collaborative, tight-knit group that works together to effectively apply technology to investment problems. We place high value on maintaining an entrepreneurial spirit and creating a culture where each of us has opportunities to succeed. Our offices currently operate on a hybrid model with a combination of in-office and remote working days throughout the week. 

 

What You Will Do  

  • Resolve incidents by selecting the most efficient solutions considering time and effort requirements, including potential enhancements that may necessitate development work. 
  • Provide escalation-level support, taking ownership of complex or high-impact incidents through to their resolution. 
  • Monitor business applications systems, executing preventive and corrective actions in response to alerts, planned maintenance, risk incidents, and other relevant events. 
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, guiding solution design and operational best practices.  
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to support existing systems and coordinate system upgrades as required. 
  • Identify recurring issues and proactively develop and share knowledge articles or automate solutions where appropriate. 

 

What You Bring  

  • Experience: You have 5+ years of relevant experience supporting business systems and integrations with Microsoft technologies, preferably in a financial or investment management firm. Experience working in an institutional investment firm is an asset. 
  • Knowledge: You are proficient troubleshooting and debugging .NET/C# code, Angular, querying and maintaining MS SQL databases, as well as developing enhancements using MS SQL and .NET/C#, you demonstrate knowledge of web certificate management and website configuration. You can understand and solve issues using scripting languages and PowerShell. Azure DevOps, CMS experience, and knowledge of Fabric and Microsoft Power platform are a plus. 
  • Tech Savvy: You have a strong background in supporting both custom developed and COTS systems (including cloud-based systems). You are resourceful and have advanced troubleshooting skills. You have a passion for technology, learning new languages, and concepts. 
  • Analytic & Strategic: You possess an analytical mind, enjoy solving problems, and have an ability to perform deep thoughtful analysis to discover solutions. 
  • Operational Excellence: You have an approach and track record in achieving operational excellence where personal drive, high-quality work, and getting things done are critical success factors. 
  • Collaborative Communication: You have a collaborative spirit that helps you work well with others and communicate effectively. 

 
The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $130,000. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation for this position. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
