
Business Analyst
Interested in joining one of Canada’s top performing asset managers? We are seeking a Business Analyst for an existing vacancy in our Vancouver-based Information Systems team. This role leverages Order Execution Management Systems (OEMS) domain knowledge or similar to translate business needs into effective technology solutions for trading, portfolio management, and compliance. Our offices currently operate on a hybrid model with a combination of in-office and remote working days throughout the week.
What You Will Do
- Partner with Traders, Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Compliance, and business stakeholders to define CRIMS requirements for Manager Workbench, blotter and trade workflow setup, compliance rules, and trade lifecycle processes.
- Translate business needs into functional requirements, gap analyses, user journeys, workflow diagrams, use cases, and CRIMS configuration specifications.
- Support the design and implementation of CRIMS workflow rules, instrument defaults, user setup, privileging, import/export translations, batch imports, data validation, and custom trade file deliveries.
- Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams, Charles River Development, and external vendors to ensure requirements are clearly documented and delivered.
- Lead stakeholder communications, document business processes, and maintain traceability between business objectives and technical solutions.
- Participate in system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and validation of CRIMS upgrades, patches, and production changes.
- Provide business-focused production support, issue triage, root cause analysis, and resolution coordination for critical trading and compliance processes.
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college.
- 4+ years of business analysis, technical analysis, or systems analyst experience supporting investment operations.
- 3+ years of OEMS or technical support experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of trading lifecycle, portfolio management, multi-asset investment operations, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical problem solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work across geographies and time zones with remote teams and provide support during critical release windows.
- Experience with SQL and familiarity with the C#.NET technology stack are an asset.
The starting salary for this position is $100,000-$120,000. The starting salary provided reflects the base salary for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation of this position. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
