Technical Delivery Lead, Platform Transformation

Toronto, Ontario, Canada; Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

About CCL

CCL Financial Group is a leading investment management organization with a strong focus on long-term thinking, partnership, and disciplined execution. Technology plays a critical role in enabling our business, supporting our affiliates, and strengthening the platforms, data, and operating capabilities that help drive client and business outcomes.

Role Overview

CCL is undertaking a major platform transformation to renew its Middle Office and Back Office investment operations capabilities. This includes the migration of core investment operations functionality and the coordination of related integration, data, conversion, and functional workstreams.

The Technical Delivery Lead will provide end-to-end technical delivery leadership across the Information Services streams supporting this transformation. This role will create a single coordinated view of technical delivery, dependencies, risks, decisions, and affiliate needs, helping ensure that multiple workstreams operate as one integrated program.

This is a senior delivery leadership role for someone who can move confidently between technical detail, delivery execution, stakeholder alignment, and executive-level communication. The successful candidate will be a trusted partner to affiliate stakeholders, stream leads, the PMO, and Information Services leadership.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Technical Delivery Leadership

  • Own the integrated technical delivery view across all Information Services workstreams supporting the Middle Office and Back Office platform transformation.
  • Coordinate delivery across integration, data, conversion, functional, reporting, and related technology streams.
  • Build and maintain a clear view of cross-stream dependencies, risks, milestones, decisions, and delivery priorities.
  • Ensure technical delivery plans are realistic, coordinated, and aligned with business and affiliate outcomes.
  • Identify delivery gaps early and work with stream leads to resolve issues before they impact program momentum.

Cross-Stream Coordination and Execution

  • Lead the operating cadence across technical stream leads, including dependency reviews, issue resolution, blockers, and escalation preparation.
  • Translate complex delivery activity into a coherent program-level view for IS leadership, the PMO, and business stakeholders.
  • Drive clarity around ownership, decision flow, sequencing, and handoffs across workstreams.
  • Promote disciplined execution while maintaining flexibility to respond to evolving program needs.
  • Help create a delivery model that improves alignment, reduces friction, and strengthens execution confidence.

Affiliate and Stakeholder Partnership

  • Serve as the primary IS delivery counterpart for affiliate stakeholders on the platform transformation.
  • Understand affiliate priorities, operational impacts, and decision needs, and translate them into coordinated technical execution.
  • Provide clear communication on delivery status, risks, trade-offs, and required decisions.
  • Build trusted relationships with affiliate teams, PMO partners, senior technology leaders, and business stakeholders.
  • Represent Information Services as an integrated delivery partner with an end-to-end understanding of affiliate outcomes.

Risk, Issue, and Decision Management

  • Proactively identify technical and delivery risks across integration, data, conversion, and platform workstreams.
  • Surface issues early and frame them with clear options, impacts, recommendations, and decision paths.
  • Support solution-oriented escalation by ensuring risks and blockers are well understood and actionable.
  • Maintain transparency around the top cross-stream risks, dependencies, and delivery priorities.
  • Help improve decision velocity by connecting the right stakeholders to the right issues at the right time.

Delivery Model and Team Alignment

  • Work with IS leadership to assess whether additional architecture, delivery, or technical leadership capacity is required.
  • Help clarify roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities across senior technical resources involved in the program.
  • Support the effective deployment of experienced technical talent based on strengths, impact areas, and delivery needs.
  • Contribute to the design of a sustainable operating model for the future platform capability.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and outcome-oriented delivery culture.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 60 days, the Lead will have:
