Assistant Manager, Information Systems

Gurugram, Haryana, India

We are looking for an Assistant Manager, Information Systems to join our Gurugram based Information Systems team. As passionate IT professionals, we are faced with complex problems that are ideally solved through technology. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, driving regular BAU activities, managing team performance and deliverables, leading strategic projects, and ensuring system ownership and operational effectiveness remain aligned with enterprise priorities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities along with excellent interpersonal, communication & stakeholder management skills and will work closely with various Information Systems teams, affiliates, vendors, and other cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions, support business objectives, and drive continuous improvement.

What Will You Do

  • Operations & System Ownership: Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure stability, availability, performance, and continuous improvement of Information Systems applications and services.
  • BAU & Service Delivery: Manage regular BAU activities, support business users, monitor service levels, and ensure timely resolution of operational issues and service requests.
  • Project Leadership: Lead and deliver strategic and business-critical projects from planning through implementation, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and enterprise priorities.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop team members, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a high-performance culture while ensuring successful execution of team objectives and deliverables.
  • Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Information Systems teams, affiliates, business stakeholders, and other functional teams to understand requirements, drive initiatives, and deliver technology solutions.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to manage deliverables, resolve issues, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to agreed service and support standards.
  • Deliverables & Governance: Manage operational and project deliverables, track progress, identify risks and dependencies, and ensure high-quality outcomes in line with organizational standards and processes.
  • Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement: Drive root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Communication & Relationship Management: Leverage strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage stakeholders, facilitate decision-making, and build productive relationships across technical and business teams.

What You Bring

  • Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft technologies, including .NET Framework/.NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, and related development tools and frameworks.
  • Software Design Principles: Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP/OOPS), design patterns, SOLID principles, and software engineering best practices.
  • Database Skills: Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database technologies, including database design, query optimization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Cloud & DevOps Expertise: Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, along with CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment automation using Azure DevOps and related DevOps tools.
  • Microservices Architecture: Experience designing, developing, and supporting microservices-based applications, APIs, and distributed systems.
  • System Development Lifecycle: Proven experience across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, release management, and production support.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective, scalable, and sustainable solutions.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively partner with Information Systems teams, business stakeholders, affiliates, and vendors.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading teams, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, managing deliverables, and driving successful projects and operational outcomes.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in software development, application support, and enterprise systems delivery within a technology-driven environment.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in leadership role, managing teams, driving project delivery, overseeing operational activities, and mentoring technical professionals.
  • Enterprise Technology Experience: Experience working with Microsoft technology stacks, cloud platforms, microservices architecture, CI/CD practices, and large-scale enterprise applications.
  • B.Tech. in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
  • Experience in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) domain.
  • Certification in cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Additional certifications in .NET and Azure DevOps
