We are looking for an Analyst, Institutional Portfolio Operations for an existing vacancy on our Institutional Portfolio Operations (IPO) teamThe IPO team is a group of tightknit, energetic, and social individuals, who together have a direct impact on the investment success of individuals, pension funds, foundations and endowments, First Nations and other institutional clients. The Institutional Portfolio Operations Analyst is a critical part of our firm and clients’ success and is a challenging and rewarding role for the right individual. You will experience the inter-workings of the asset management world and will have the opportunity to advance your skills for future growth and development within Connor, Clark & Lunn (CC&L). Our offices currently operate on a hybrid model with a combination of in-office and remote working days throughout the week.


What You Will Do

  • Act as a primary operational contact for cash flow inquiries from investment teams, client-facing teams, custodians, affiliates, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Process and validate institutional subscription, redemption, and other cash flow instructions to support daily trading and portfolio management activities.
  • Perform daily validation, reconciliation, and quality control procedures to ensure cash flow information is complete, accurate, and consistent across systems.
  • Identify operational risks, control gaps, and process inefficiencies, and recommend practical solutions to improve accuracy, resiliency, and service quality.
  • Partner closely with the IRG Process Automation team to drive the evolution of cash notice operations through the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of automated workflows, controls, validation checks, and exception-monitoring processes that strengthen the control environment and support scalable growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence and support the evolving needs of CC&L's investment management business

What You Will Bring

  • You have an undergraduate degree in business administration, commerce or a related field and a genuine interest for the investment industry.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an institutional investment firm, bank or trust company, where you have acquired operational expertise in at least one of the three areas: cash notice processing, transitions, and AUM reporting.
  • You can articulate yourself clearly through both verbal and written mediums and work well with others to resolve complex issues.
  • You have the ability to think rationally, and problem solve effectively.
  • You are committed to contributing and supporting a team of like-minded individuals who are driven and have high standards. Everyone you have worked with has wonderful things to say about you.
  • You are a sharp, self-motivated, ambitious, and enthusiastic person who will seek to improve existing processes and help to implement creative solutions. You are a “go-getter.”
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 technologies, including Excel (advanced formulas, Power Query, and VBA), Power BI, SharePoint, and Power Automate. Demonstrated ability to leverage data, automation, and technology-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen controls, support scalable processes, and deliver actionable business insights. Experience with AI-enabled tools and solutions is considered an asset.

The salary range for this position is $69,000-$72,000. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation for this position.
