
Analyst, Stewardship & Engagement
Interested in joining a growing team focused on how environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues are addressed at the companies in which CC&LFG affiliates invest? We are looking for a Stewardship & Engagement Analyst for an existing vacancy in our Vancouver-based Stewardship & Engagement team. The Stewardship & Engagement team is focused on ESG issues (e.g., climate risk, diversity and human rights) and works closely with the investment teams on active ownership activities such as company engagements, voting and collaborative initiatives with other investors and advocacy organizations. Our offices currently operate on a hybrid model with a combination of in-office and remote working days throughout the week.
What You Will Do
- Support the preparation, coordination and delivery of stewardship, engagement and responsible investing reporting, including annual reporting, client reporting, and ad hoc reporting requests
- Prepare content and responses for RFPs, RFIs, DDQs, and consultant databases for all CC&L Financial Group affiliates
- Maintain organized records of stewardship activities, reporting inputs, voting information and supporting documentation
- Collect, organize and validate information from internal teams and external service providers to support accurate and timely reporting
- Support research and analysis related to ESG and stewardship topics to inform reporting, engagement activities and client responses
- Collaborate with investment teams, affiliates and internal stakeholders to gather information and help ensure reporting is clear, consistent and appropriately supported
What You Bring
- 2-4 years of experience in an institutional investment firm, responsible investing, sustainability reporting, investment operations or a related field
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Sustainability, or another related discipline, and a genuine interest in the investment industry. Completion of relevant industry courses would also be an asset
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with data, spreadsheets, reporting templates and supporting documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex information clearly, accurately and concisely for different audiences
- You are a sharp, ambitious, and enthusiastic person who will seek to improve existing processes and help to implement creative solutions.
- Experience or familiarity with UN PRI, TCFD disclosure, stewardship reporting or other responsible investing frameworks is considered an asset
The salary range for this position is $65,000 – $75,000. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation of this position. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
