Job Description: 

As VP Operations, you will help drive the strategy, growth, and operational maturity for a hyper-growth, private equity-backed business. You will create a strategic vision to deliver predictable and reliable organic growth at the company. In addition, you will be responsible for execution of that vision through operational improvements, implementation of new processes, and management of day-to-day business activities. 

This business has roughly 50 employees and provides high-end software development to the United States Intelligence Community. This person will serve as a crucial operator and thought partner within the business both as a leader for its  employees, as well as a representative for important external stakeholders like federal government clients and business partners. We are looking for someone who is excited by entrepreneurial work supported by proven playbooks, as well as a can-do attitude to truly operate and manage a large and growing business.  

This role will report to the SVP of our Langley businesses (four total currently) and be based in Washington D.C.  

Role Expectations: 

  • Development and execution of continuous improvement and efficiency-focused plans to drive towards 15%+ Revenue growth YoY and 15%+ EBITDA growth YoY 
  • Build and execute upon a predictable, measurable, and repeatable revenue growth and playbook  
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all business functions at the company including pricing strategy, customer/employee retention, contract capture and business development, and team growth 
  • Oversee the finance and accounting function to ensure timely monthly financial close, accurate KPI reporting, and other regulatory requirements  
  • Be a people-leader for our organization, and empower the right individuals to grow and lead within our company 
  • Effectively manage relationships with various stakeholders  
  • Lives in or is willing to relocate to the greater DC area

 Qualifications: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, strategy & ops roles (desired, not a must) 
  • Operator who enjoys problem solving  
  • Financial acuity; firm understanding of how to read and analyze a P&L 
  • Enthusiasm to continue to scale an organization 
  • Energized by a high-growth environment and opportunity for increased responsibility  
  • Comfortable with ambiguity  
  • Ability to communicate complex information at varying levels of detail  
  • Spirit of continuous improvement to implement new processes
