Cellanome is adding Pharma Account Manager to our growing team. Reporting into the Head of Sales and Customer Support, the Pharma Account Manager drives adoption of Cellanome’s platform within pharmaceutical and large biotech companies. In this role, you will leverage your network in discovery and translational research teams to position our technology as a critical tool for advancing cell biology for drug discovery, target identification, and mechanism-of-action studies. You will engage deeply with scientists and stakeholders to align our platform with complex research workflows and organizational priorities. This is a remote role, covering the U.S. West Coast.
- Drive sales of Cellanome’s platform within pharmaceutical and large biotech accounts.
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including discovery scientists, translational researchers, platform leads, and procurement teams.
- Identify opportunities where advanced single-cell analysis can accelerate drug discovery, target identification, and mechanism-of-action studies.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans for complex, multi-group pharma organizations.
- Deliver high-impact technical presentations, workshops, and on-site engagements tailored to pharma research applications.
- Navigate long sales cycles and multi-layered decision-making processes within large organizations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with field applications scientists, marketing, and product teams to support evaluations, pilots, and successful adoption.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends in cell biology, single-cell technologies, and drug discovery workflows.
- Accurately manage pipeline and customer interactions using CRM tools.
- Ability to work in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% of working time away from work location, including overnight/weekend travel at time.
Role Requirements:
- Degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
- Within total work experience, 3+ years of sales, business development, or field applications, with a focus on cell biology.
- Strong understanding of drug discovery workflows and the role of cell biology in target discovery and validation.
- Familiarity with single-cell analysis, genomics, or high-dimensional biology platforms.
- Proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals and managing long sales cycles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both scientists and business leaders.
- Highly self-motivated with strong strategic thinking and territory/account management skills.
- Willingness to travel within assigned region.
- Valid passport and driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Cell Biology
- Experience selling capital equipment or high-value research platforms into pharma accounts.
- Established network within pharmaceutical R&D organizations.
- Ability to translate scientific capabilities into business and research impact.
We provide competitive total compensation packages, including base pay, benefits, and equity. In California, the estimated base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000/year. Additionally, this role will be enrolled in a commission plan. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
