As a Summer Intern reporting to the Director of Assay Development, you will gain both hands-on laboratory experience and computational experience while supporting multi-omic assay development and optimization, including cell and molecular biology experiments, R3200 instrument operation, and large-scale single-cell data analysis.
Position overview:
- You will support multi-omic assay development and optimization by (1) assisting with cell and molecular biology experiments and R3200 instrument operation to support assay development activities, and (2) performing large-scale single-cell dataset analysis to evaluate assay performances and inform optimization activities. In this combined hands-on and computational opportunity, you’ll be able to apply your expertise toward building a platform that is uniquely differentiating.
What makes you a good fit:
- Currently enrolled Master’s or PhD student in a biology-related field.
- Able to commit to a 12-week program during Summer 2026.
- Previous hands-on experience in cell and molecular biology, including cell culture, library preparation, and sequencing.
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation.
- Proficiency in R for single-cell data analysis; knowledge of Seurat is a plus.
In California, the estimated pay range for this position is $40-$45/hour. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
