The role...
We seek a Director of US BioPharma Sales to develop and lead a team of sales representatives. This individual is responsible for executing the broader BioPharma strategy, setting and achieving sales goals, developing and implementing sales strategies, coaching and motivating the sales team, identifying new business opportunities and market trends, and staying ahead of the competition.

- Cultivate and lead high-performing commercial teams across large pharma and biotech sectors, fostering collaboration and driving impactful business outcomes
- Implement comprehensive personnel strategies tailored to the biopharma landscape, encompassing recruitment, mentorship, goal alignment, strategic account planning, professional development, performance evaluation, and advancement opportunities
- Oversee all facets of biopharma sales management, including client retention, satisfaction metrics, sales forecasting, periodic business reviews, contract negotiations, and optimization of B2B and channel strategies within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets
- Act as a pivotal cross-functional liaison between Business Leaders, Product Managers, and Marketing and Sales Managers to develop and execute high-impact strategic initiatives specific to the biopharma sector
- Foster and expand partnerships with key stakeholders in large pharma and biotech, focusing on high-value customer relationships and strategic alliances
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to devise innovative strategies that counter competitive pressures while enhancing account penetration and sales growth in the biopharma space
- Assess and propose market penetration and lead generation initiatives tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities within the life science and biopharma markets
- Provide ongoing market intelligence to the organization, offering insights on customer trends, market developments, and competitive activities specific to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries
- Maintain a high degree of engagement and visibility in the field with the sales team and key customers
- Ensure regular, effective communication with senior commercial leadership to identify challenges and opportunities and deliver solutions as needed
Who you are and what you bring to the team...
- Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
- 10+ years of sales experience in the life science industry, serving in the biopharma and/or drug discovery and development customer space
- Experience working with Universities and Government establishments would be advantageous
- 7+ years of sales management experience leading a team of sales representatives in the biopharma and/or drug discovery and development customer space
- Proven leadership skills in developing and building high-performing, successful commercial teams
- A strong network of connections within biopharma and proven ability to leverage business contacts to deliver high-value business opportunities
- Proven ability to make sound business decisions, understand complex business dynamics, and drive organizational success through keen insights, business acumen, and strategic thinking
- Proficiency with sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking through Salesforce CRM and other designated IT tools
- Strong analytical skills and continuous improvement mindset
- Commitment to open communication, transparency, continued development, and performance management
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and marketplace
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with many diverse customer audiences such as scientific leaders, researchers, procurement, lab operations, economic decision-makers, and other influencers to gain commitment, acquire resources, and achieve desired results

- 1+ years of laboratory experience working with antibody applications
