The role

This person is responsible for providing excellent technical support and product information to CST EMEA end users and CST Distribution Partners for the full catalogue of Cell Signaling Technology’s products. The individual will do so using up-to-date scientific knowledge, a clear understanding of CST products and precise handling of customer requests and requirements. The role involves the application of solid scientific knowledge to help grow long term productive relationships with CST Distribution Partners and/or EMEA Direct end users.

The successful person will also be a key contributor to help reach and/or exceed territory budgetary goals through sales success across key product areas.

You'll have the opportunity to...

  • To be the regional Distributor Markets technical expert / subject matter expert for the CST portfolio of products and services.
  • Be highly capable of demonstrating in depth knowledge of the key target CST research areas (Oncology, Neuro, Immuno etc) and applications, understanding customer needs, product positioning, competitive intelligence gathering, and overall market trends for the designated market.
  • To organize and deliver technical applications and research vertical presentations to customers across EMEA, including Distribution Partners, with the goal of increasing awareness and increasing revenue at key accounts and provide follow-up in-field support.
  • Develop and grow strong relationships with our Distribution Partners, and be an accountable partner at all times.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Distribution Managers, to support our Distribution Partners optimally at all times.
  • To provide market, customer, and competitor insight feedback to EMEA Regional Distribution Management, Regional Marketing & EMEA Leadership as required.
  • To provide scientific support to both colleagues and customers as required by the business.
  • To liaise with Analytics team to understand EMEA revenue trends. Work with EMEA direct sales team, Distributor managers and Marketing to develop action plans and tactics to address revenue gaps in collaboration with the Distribution Manager(s).
  • To support key initiatives and requests from EMEA Sales Management and Marketing / Product Management. 
  • To drive successful product launches in EMEA integrating local market specificities including development of sales launch packages, value propositions that are accepted by the sales force and tracking revenue in accordance with forecasts
  • To support Early Access Program with sales, technical support and marketing/ product management
  • To identify customers for possible joint collaborations
  • To work with EMEA sales team to identify OEM opportunities.
  • To assist EMEA Regional Marketing team in Voice of Customer (VOC) programs.
  • To work with global Training Manager to organize and provide internal trainings/workshop sessions for EMEA sales representatives and distributors.
  • To participate in scientific conferences and customer visits on a frequent basis to stay close to the customer and gain a deep understanding of market trends.
  • Have an active involvement in the design and execution of the Annual/Bi-annual CST EMEA Distribution Meetings, in collaboration with Regional Marketing and Distribution EMEA.
  • Collaborate deeply with the broader EMEA Distribution organization and support as needed. This may involve at any time providing people cover for the FAS person(s) in the CST direct markets in EMEA.

Who you are and what you bring to the team...

  • PhD or Master in Cell Biology or similar
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant applications, workflows, and products
  • Ideally past sales experience in Life Science market
  • Flexible and open regarding travelling (60%), as the role is Field Based so extensive travel will be required.
  • Experience in an international business environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage deliverables and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of English both in word and writing.

Ideally, you have...

  • Knowledge of French / Spanish is highly desirable.
