The role
This person is responsible for providing excellent technical support and product information to both NEB CST end users in the BeNeLux region. The individual will successfully apply up-to-date scientific knowledge, a clear understanding of NEB and CST products and precise handling of customer requests and requirements to carry out the role effectively. The role involves the application of solid genomics knowledge to help grow long term productive relationships with the end users. The successful person will also be a key contributor to help reach and/or exceed territory budgetary goals through sales success across key product areas.
You'll have the opportunity to...
- To be the BeNeLux expert and have in-depth knowledge of Genomics (with a focus on NGS) & cellular biology (immuno-oncology) applications, customer needs, products, positioning, competition and market trends.
- Be the Senior technical conduit between CST and NEB for the NGS portfolio in the BeNeLux region.
- Support key-initiatives from the sales, technical support and marketing teams.
- Identify, maintain and develop an opportunity pipeline in close collaboration with the BeNeLux sales team.
- Develop timely and accurate forecasts (volume and spend) and revise throughout the year
- Drive successful product launches in the BeNeLux including development of sales launch packages, value propositions that are accepted by the sales team and tracking of revenue in accordance with forecasts.
- Present and report competitive product information and competitor activity to the sales, technical support and marketing teams.
- Organize and give technical customer presentations and seminars to ensure continued outbound support to our customers.
- Provide scientific support to both colleagues and customers.
- Perform training to end users when required by the business.
- Maintain and build partnerships with regional influencers and key opinion leaders in the field of Genomics (NGS) and Cellular Biology (immune-oncology).
- Identify customers for possible collaborations, conference presentations and advocates for NEB / CST.
- Frequent customer visits as needed to help drive the business forward.
- To liaise with the Analytics team to understand regional revenue trends to develop action plans and tactics to address revenue gaps in collaboration with the Senior Field Sales Manager NEB & CST, BeNeLux.
Who you are and what you bring to the team...
- Flexible and open regarding travelling (>50%) in the BeNeLux region
- Highly ambitious and willingness to grow and influence
- Solid understanding of the Biopharma business and the role of Field Support is highly desirable
- Experience in an international business environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage deliverables and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience of the NEB portfolio (especially the NGS portfolio) would be highly desirable
Ideally, you have...
- PhD or Master in Molecular Biology / Cell Biology or similar
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of relevant NGS applications, workflows, and products
- Experience with NGS and a firm understanding of its application in each of the academic, industry and diagnostic segments
- Flexible and open regarding travelling (>50%) in the BeNeLux region
- Excellent knowledge of English both in word and writing
