Software Engineer - Process Mining Algorithms

The Team:

You will be part of the team that owns the computational aspects of the core Process Mining products (e.g., Process Discovery, Conformance Checking) end to end inside Celonis. Our goal is that all of our customers get to explore their processes comprehensively and interactively. We do that by creating and designing tools to analyse their raw business process data. These tools enable the discovery of high-fidelity process models, and the comparison of the as-is with the to-be process, at speed and scale. The team achieves these goals through technical excellence, a strong sense of ownership, and a spirit for innovation.

The Role:

For the Process Mining Technologies team - Core squad, we are looking for a Software Engineer who enjoys working in a deep domain and who takes pride in technical excellence. As part of the team, you will iteratively narrow down hard problems, design appropriate parallel and distributed algorithms, implement them in modern C++, and maintain and improve your solutions.

The work you’ll do:

• Develop new concepts and algorithms for Object-Centric Process Mining
• Implement, improve, and maintain our solutions in modern C++
• Narrow down requirements with stakeholders in the Product organization and customers
• Contribute to our internal development and maintenance processes

The qualifications you need:

• University degree in computer science or comparable experience
• Experience in algorithm design and implementation
• Experience in software development for productive systems
• Experience with modern C++; Python is a plus
• Experience in Process Mining; Data-Intensive Systems, High-Performance/Distributed Computing or Performance Engineering is a plus
• Excellent communication skills in English, German is a plus
