Senior Manager Communications (Iberia & Latam)

The Role:
We’re looking for someone who lives to uncover and tell compelling stories. In this role, you’ll be the Communications and Content lead for Iberia and LATAM, working closely with the global communications and content team, the head of field marketing for Iberia & Latam and our stakeholders in the Madrid hub. You’ll manage our Spanish PR agency and work closely with our Iberia and LATAM spokespeople, including Fernando Ranz, VP Sales Iberia & LATAM, Thais Cabral, Head of Sales for Brazil and our Madrid hub leaders Jorge Ferrer and Sonia Comajuan. As part of the role to increase awareness for the international Celonis hub in Madrid you will also work closely with the local employer branding team and support local events. In addition you will also manage the content development for Spanish content including customer stories.
The work you’ll do:
You’ll ensure that Celonis’ unique value proposition is effectively communicated with Iberian and LATAM (traditional & social) media, increasing brand awareness and driving thought leadership:
- Develop and implement a local Communications strategy - aligned with the global Communications strategy - to raise awareness for Celonis and its key executives in Iberia & LATAM
- Develop the narrative and local messages and positioning based on the global company positioning
- Write local and also localize global press releases, pitches, bylines, blog posts, customer case studies, social media posts, abstracts, award nominations, contributed content for a Spanish- (and sometimes Portuguese)- speaking audience, working alongside agencies
- Establish and foster positive relationships with key business, trade and industry media in Iberia and LATAM
- Work closely with the local spokespeople, train and prepare them for media interactions, and hone their specific narrative and thought leadership platforms; help to prepare speeches and presentations, keynotes and talking points
- Work closely with the global communications and the local field marketing teams to ensure materials are on-message and coordinate customer opportunities with media
- Identify and manage relevant award applications, podcast opportunities and conference/speaking submissions for key executives
- Work with our social media team to create local content to engage and grow our Iberia and LATAM audiences (currently 25k followers on LinkedIn)
- Manage the local budget and resources (-> PR agency)
The qualifications you need:
You must be a self-motivated, passionate, resourceful, responsible communications professional with the confidence and experience to lead complex, strategic programs
- 8+ years of domain experience in communications; experience writing for a variety of different audiences is desired; PR agency or related media relations experience is extremely beneficial; general journalistic or marketing experience is also beneficial
- Excellent media relations skills and close relationships with national Spanish business, technology and industry media; relations with media in LATAM (esp Brazil) (and Portuguese-speaking countries) is also a plus
- Native/Bilingual Spanish language speaker; excellent in Spanish writing, editing and proofreading skills, as well as the journalistic ability to identify and unveil stories that resonate with our local target audiences
- Fluency in business English as well
- Experience creating compelling, media-ready messaging and narratives
- A good understanding of integrated communications programs and the ability to lead them with focus on press relations and social media
- Familiarity with information technology, especially digital and video communication
- Experience working with senior executives or a C-suite; confidence to deal with senior executives and recommend communication techniques
- Pre, at and post IPO experience ideally in the SaaS/enterprise software space is a plus
