Senior Content Marketing Manager

The team 

You’ll join the content marketing team: made up of writer-strategists who do both the thinking and creating. We own our areas of expertise, we understand the problems our prospects, customers, and our stakeholders are facing, and we solve them with content. High-quality, compelling, creative content that moves the needle and raises the bar. 

The role 

First and foremost, the role requires someone who can write. You know, really write. A world-class storyteller. An intelligent wordsmith. Someone with a passion for truly exceptional marketing, and understands that words – and how those words are presented – are everything. 

Second, an abundance of intellectual curiosity. That thirst to get to the bottom of any topic. The technical and the esoteric. You’ll want to try your hand at anything and everything: new formats, new channels, new metaphors. You’re comfortable, excited even, by the idea of jumping into projects across subject areas. The learning curve can be steep. But life is good at the top of it. 

Third, experience. This is a senior role, and we’re looking for someone who knows what they’re doing. You’ve got a background in B2B, probably tech and/or software, you’re a dab hand at conversion marketing and demand gen, you know how to manage multiple stakeholders, agencies, and freelancers. And you’re ready to hit the ground running and get stuff done.

The work you’ll do

• Understand the challenges of our prospects, stakeholders, and customers and come up with the content strategy and content assets to solve them 
• Write clear, confident, conversational copy for a variety of formats and channels
• Collaborate daily with design, video, and other creatives to bring your writing to life
• Collaborate with campaigns, product marketing, customer advocacy and other stakeholders to get the right content in front of the right eyeballs
• Analyze content performance metrics to inform our content strategy
• Manage an editorial calendar of ongoing content projects
• Manage internal stakeholders, freelancers, and agencies

Skills and qualifications we’re looking for

• 5+ years of experience writing content, likely at a B2B tech start-up, scale-up, or B2B agency
• Very strong communication, project management, and relationship skills
• Experience creating and executing successful content strategies 
• A diverse portfolio — from ads to emails, eBooks to scripts, web copy and more
• Proven ability to grasp complex concepts and convert them into clear, consumable prose — did we mention the learning curve? 
• Strong editing and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Comfortable with data analytics and using insights to improve performance
• Experience working with SMEs to create content for multiple audiences
• Experience managing agencies and freelancers, including briefing, editing and reviewing 
• Preferred: Spanish or French speakers always welcome
