Client Value Partner (CVP) - Financial Services Industry

New York, US, New York

We're Celonis, the global leader in Process Intelligence technology and one of the world's fastest-growing SaaS firms. We believe there is a massive opportunity to unlock productivity by placing AI, data and intelligence at the core of business processes - and for that, we need your help. Care to join us?

The Role:

We are looking for a Client Value Partner—a seasoned industry executive who can bridge the gap between high-level institutional strategy and complex technical execution. You will act as the primary accountable lead for one of our most strategic Global Banking accounts, translating C-level vision into realized P&L impact.

This role requires more than standard client success; it requires a Program Director mindset. You will serve as the strategic architect for a massive transformation program, orchestrating execution across multiple parallel streams to link Celonis capabilities to key outcomes specific to Investment Banking, Global Markets, and Asset Management.

You will blend deep Capital Markets expertise with a proven strategy consulting skill set to spearhead data-driven transformation at the forefront of one of the fastest-growing tech companies worldwide.

The work you’ll do:

Identify & Frame Strategic Value

  • Translate Institutional Strategy to Operations: Analyze the bank’s strategic goals (e.g., Operational Resilience, T+1 Settlement Readiness, Capital Efficiency, Regulatory Compliance) and map them to a long-term vision utilizing the Celonis platform.
  • Architect the "Office of the CFO/COO" Agenda: Design the roadmap for optimizing end-to-end value chains, specifically targeting Trade Lifecycle (Front-to-Back), Institutional Client Onboarding (KYC/AML), and Inter-company Reconciliations.
  • Build the Board-Level Business Case: Construct robust business cases that articulate the financial impact of Process Intelligence on specific banking metrics (e.g., Cost-to-Income Ratios, Intraday Liquidity Management, RWA optimization, and Fails Management).
  • Lead Value Assessments: Leverage industry benchmarks to quantify the value opportunity and present a multi-year strategic roadmap to C-Level executives (CIO, COO, CFO).

Realize Value (Program Execution Leadership)

  • Orchestrate Multi-Stream Execution: Act as the de facto Program Lead for large-scale transformations. You will manage multiple execution streams simultaneously, ensuring alignment between siloed divisions (e.g., aligning Equities Ops with Reference Data and Compliance).
  • Drive the "Digital Twin" Agenda: Lead the executive relationship to deliver on the promise of a digital twin, managing the complexity of interconnected processes rather than isolated use cases.
  • Mobilize the Ecosystem: Guide the client on organization design and the maturation of Centers of Excellence (CoE). You will mobilize global cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery across key regions (AMER, EMEA, APAC).
  • Solve Systemic Challenges: Tackle difficult implementation hurdles by defining standards for Straight-Through Processing (STP), Exception Management, and regulatory reporting.
  • Measure & Report: Derive improvement measures in core business functions, present realized value to senior management, and ensure the program is hitting its strategic milestones.

Scale Value & Practice Growth

  • Codify Capital Markets Best Practices: Turn client successes into reusable assets, playbooks, and thought leadership for the broader Capital Markets practice.
  • Mentor & Enable: Act as a senior leader for the team, coaching junior members on executive relationship management, complex financial instruments, and high-performance team dynamics.
  • Product Feedback Loop: Serve as the "Voice of the Customer" to our Product teams, ensuring our development roadmap aligns with the specific security, scale, and data lineage needs of a G-SIB.
  • Commercial Growth: Responsible for the end-to-end customer value journey, including landing, expanding, adoption, and renewal. Build a strategic expansion roadmap to embed Celonis as the default business transformation platform across the bank.

The qualifications you need:

  • Deep Institutional Experience: 15+ years of relevant experience, ideally combining tenure at a top-tier Investment Bank, Asset Manager, or Custodian with Strategy Consulting. You must understand the pressure of the trading floor and the complexity of the back office.
  • Capital Markets Fluency: You possess granular knowledge of the Capital Markets value chain. You speak the language of Global Markets Operations, Controllership, Treasury Services, and Risk & Compliance (e.g., MiFID, Dodd-Frank, CSDR).
  • Technical Context: You understand the modern banking technology stack (Legacy Mainframe vs. Cloud modernization, Swift, FIX protocol) and how to apply Process Intelligence within that landscape.
  • Program Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-stream programs. You have managed initiatives where multiple projects run in parallel under one strategic umbrella, requiring strict dependency management and cross-functional alignment.
  • Value Realization: A track record of driving large-scale transformation programs that impacted the P&L through operational efficiency or risk mitigation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Extensive experience presenting to and influencing C-Level executives (CIO, COO, CFO, CRO). You can navigate complex, matrixed organizations and use data to persuade senior stakeholders.
  • Builder Mentality: You are comfortable working with ambiguity and possess an entrepreneurial leadership style that inspires teams.
  • Required: Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field. MBA strongly preferred.

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
