Behavior Consultant Trainee (BCBA In-Training) Tempe Center

Centria is investing in Next-Gen Clinical Leaders! We have the leadership in place to support at least 1 Clinician-in-training at our ABA Center!
This person must....
- be currently enrolled in an ABA Masters program and
- have at minimum of 500-hours of fieldwork accrued in order to be considered.
The Basics
Title: Behavior Consultant Trainee (BCT)
Type: Full-time, Salary, Center-based
Location: 8260 S. Hardy Dr. Suite 110B, Tempe, AZ 85284 (similar openings may be available at other locations)
Center Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 8:00pm
A BCT has flexibility with their schedule, which will include a 40-hour work week, a mixture of days and afternoons, which may change periodically as needed.
Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 per year (+ monthly bonus opportunity)

The Supervising Clinician will provide guidance & support to Behavior Technicians as they carry out their Treatment Plan, ensuring that clinical standards are being met.

Our Expectations (with support of a BCBA, Director of Clinician Development, and Director of Clinical Services)
- Provide clinical oversight to clientele, maintain quality standards, compliance & retention
- Develop child-specific treatment plans following the principles of ABA therapy
- Train & nurture your team of BT/RBTs
- Coach and develop your team to consistently achieve high performance by meeting objectives, delivering optimal results, adding value, and pursuing continuous improvement.
- Inspire parents/caregiver involvement in Treatment Plan; aiming to deliver no less than 1-hour per month of parent/caregiver engagement to all clients
- Ensuring the daily functions of the team are completed by communicating expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results and performance. Identify skill gaps and assist with improvement.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Completion of or enrollment in a Master's ABA program with an accredited university in acceptance with BACB guidelines
- Accrual of at least 500 fieldwork hours in accordance with BCBA certification guidelines from the BACB (with supporting documentation)
- 1+ years working with children and autism spectrum disorders
- Previous supervision experience is preferred
- Crisis management experience is preferred
Working Conditions:
- Centria Center's office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
- Expect to work 8-hours per day, 5 days per week. Exact schedule may vary but will fall within clinics operating hours.
- The work location varies on a case-by-case basis and can include the client's home, a company facility, or community.
- This particular position is center-based.
- Additional time or flex schedules may be required to complete the above work or meet company objectives.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member may be exposed to a client who exhibits physically aggressive behavior, which can include kicking, pinching, punching, biting, etc. The team member may have to use appropriate behavior management techniques with a client under such circumstances. Such a response requires agility, quick reflexes, and the ability to use physically evasive movement. The team member will be required to stand, walk, sit, grasp, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, squat, hear, type, and write. The team member will also be exposed to normal office conditions and usual office equipment such as phone, computer, copiers, files, etc. The team member must be able to independently push, pull, lift, move, and carry objects weighing up to thirty-five (35) lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near, far, and field of vision.
