Position Summary

The Associate Director of Clinical Services is a leadership position within Centria Autism’s ABA clinical structure, designed as a developmental role for Clinicians preparing for broader leadership responsibilities. The Associate Director of Clinical Services is assigned to a specific center and reports to the Director of Clinical Services (DCS). This role requires a deep commitment to professional development, clinical quality, and adherence to Arizona Revised Statute 32- 2091 and Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) supervision requirements. The Associate Director of Clinical Services will also assist in maintaining an efficient supervision structure, monitoring compliance, and ensuring high standards of care across their assigned cases as Credentialed Case Supervisor or Supervising Clinician.

Success Measures

Success measures include adherence to Centria policies, flawless execution of tasks, a timely, positive customer service experience for team members, and ensuring all clients meet the clinical performance and progress standards while partnering with the Operations Team to ensure clinician caseloads are maintained at the defined standard. Success also includes meeting or exceeding personal qualitative and quantitative key performance indicator (KPI) metrics, indicated below.

  • Client outcomes and satisfaction aligned with Centria's clinical performance standards
  • Compliance with BACB and Arizona licensure supervision requirements (A.R.S. 32-2091)
  • Successful development and licensure of Behavior Analytic Trainees
  • High-quality case oversight and documentation
  • Effective execution of clinical initiatives and team leadership support
  • Adherence to Centria’s policies, procedures, and standards
  • Meet minimum billable requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

The below reflects the essential functions considered necessary for this role and shall not be construed as a detaileddescription of all work requirements inherent in the job or assigned by supervisory personnel.   1.  Clinical Supervision and Case Oversight
    • Serve as the Credentialed and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) on assigned cases supported by Behavior Analytic Trainees (BATs) under your extended authority.
    • Ensure clinical quality, supervision compliance, and effective client outcomes across all assigned cases.
    • At a minimum, conduct monthly billed family engagement or direct supervision sessions with each client under the extended authority of the LBA with support of a Behavior Analytic Trainee. Assess individual case needs and provide clear direction to Behavior Analytic Trainees regarding decision-making and case needs.
    • Provide oversight of treatment plans, clinical direction, and data-driven programming decisions.
    • Support client progress monitoring and deliver coaching to BATs during client sessions.
    • Carry a small caseload independently as assigned.
    • Meet all quality, documentation, and supervision standards required of a Supervising Clinician.
  2. Trainee Development and Training
    • Coach, mentor, and support BATs through the licensure process including exam preparation and practical skills development.
    • Deliver initial onboarding training and ongoing development in assessment, programming, and clinical decision-making.
    • Facilitate and score competency assessments and performance evaluations.
    • Provide feedback and manage behavior analytic trainee performance across clinical quality operations metrics, compliance,  and professionalism in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services.
  3. Compliance and Documentation 
    • Ensure all clinical supervision complies with BACB and Arizona Revised Statute 32-2091 standards.
    • Audit supervision documentation, including contracts, session notes, fieldwork trackers, and supervision logs.
    • Implement corrective action plans for any non-compliance observed among BATs or RBTs.
    •  Maintain up-to-date records of client treatment plans and progress documentation. Customer Service
  4. Team Collaboration and Leadership
    • Partner with the Director of Clinical Services to identify and address trainee performance challenges.
    • Support case assignment decisions with Director of Clinical Services and Operations Director for complex or high-acuity cases as needed.
    • Contribute to center culture and participate in local team-building efforts.
    • Attend meetings and provide insight to improve clinical operations and outcomes.
  5.  Compliance with Centria’s Code of Conduct, policies and procedures, and Federal and State laws.
  6.  Responsibility to report violations of Company policies or the Code of Conduct.

This role is responsible for:

  • Leading, orienting, training, and supporting team members at outlined in the “Duties and Responsibilities” section above;
  • Using internal tools to monitor ongoing work outputs and job roles/responsibilities of their team of behavior analytic trainees;
  • Ensure the daily functions of the department are completed by communicated job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results;
  • Managing, coaching, and developing a high-performing team that meets agreed objectives, and delivers best practice results, added values, and continuous improvements;
  • Consistently promoting high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands eh standards and behaviors expected of them.

Compensation

Salary Range = $95,000 -$100,000 per year + Bonus Opportunity 

 

 

Qualifications

Education

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (required)
  • Completion of 8-hour BACB supervision training (required)

License/Certification

  • BCBA certification in good standing (required)
  • Active Licensed Behavior Analyst in Arizona (required)
  • Credentialed with Arizona payers (preferred)

Work Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a practicing BCBA (required)
  • Minimum 1 years of experience providing BACB supervision (preferred)

Minimum Competency Requirements

  • Ability to follow written instructions
  • Ability to use computers and computer/software programs
  • Ability to communicate expressively and receptively in order to follow IPOS requirements, emergency procedures, and report on activities performed
  • Must pass all qualifications for the Foundations of Care Certification mentorship within 9 months of hire, or enrollment in mentorship.

Equipment and Technology Requirements

  • Working knowledge of laptop/desktop PC
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Proficiency in G Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Google Meet)
  • Familiarity with ABA data collection platforms (preferred)

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of ABA principles and ethical standards
  • Effective supervision, mentorship, and team development
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Proficient in clinical decision-making and data analysis
  • Commitment to high clinical quality and client outcomes
  • Understanding of BACB Supervision requirements and Arizona laws regarding ABA practice

Working Conditions

  • Work may occur in homes, clinics, or community settings.
  • Periodic travel within Arizona may be required.
  • Centria's office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM. Flexible scheduling may be needed to meet business needs.
  • Additional time or occasional shift in schedule may be required to complete the above work or meet company objectives.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, physical requirements such as bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 30 pounds may be required. This role will require sitting most of the day as well as walking and standing periodically. This role may require close visual acuity on computer screens or monitors and the ability to analyze data and figures on a screen.
