Private Duty Home Health Aide (HHA/CNA)

About the Position:
Centria Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Health Aide (HHA) to assist a sweet and determined woman in Novi, MI, who is transitioning home after a lengthy rehabilitation stay. She was involved in a motor vehicle accident that resulted in bilateral ankle fractures and a rotator cuff injury. While her left ankle has healed, her right ankle has required multiple surgeries, most recently an ankle fusion in October. Due to ongoing pain and limited mobility, she requires support with daily activities and personal care as she regains independence at home.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety while moving around the home
• Provide personal care, including hygiene assistance and dressing
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Support pain management strategies and encourage rehabilitation exercises as directed
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Accompany client to medical appointments as needed
• Follow care plans and communicate changes in condition to the care team

Qualifications:

• Certified Home Health Aide (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or similar experience preferred
• Experience assisting individuals with mobility limitations or post-surgical recovery
• Comfortable using mobility aids (walker, wheelchair, etc.)
• Kind, patient, and dependable
• Ability to lift and assist with transfers as needed
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
