URGENT: Adult Home Health Nurse- LPN/ RN
Are you a compassionate and dedicated nurse looking for a rewarding one-on-one care opportunity? Centria Healthcare is seeking a Private Duty Nurse (RN/LPN) to provide specialized care for a 76-year-old gentleman who became a paraplegic as a result of a motor vehicle accident (MVA). This patient is incredibly pleasant and requires 24/7 nursing care in his Eaton Rapids, MI home.
Position Overview:
As a Private Duty Nurse, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our client by delivering personalized, high-quality care in a comfortable home environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care, including but not limited to tracheostomy care, ventilator management (if applicable), catheter care, wound care, medication administration, and bowel/bladder programs.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as repositioning, transfers, and hygiene.
- Monitor the patient’s vital signs, symptoms, and overall well-being, reporting any concerns to the healthcare team.
- Offer emotional support and companionship, ensuring a positive and comfortable environment.
- Collaborate with family members, caregivers, and medical professionals to maintain continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Licensed RN or LPN in the state of Michigan.
- Experience in home health, private duty nursing, or long-term care preferred.
- Knowledge of paraplegia-related care, including skin integrity, mobility assistance, and respiratory support, is a plus.
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
