AI Application Architect

The AI Application Architect role is critical for transforming our clinical and administrative operations by spearheading the design and deployment of cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence and automation solutions. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business strategy, clinical needs, and advanced AI engineering, driving measurable improvements in efficiency, compliance, and clinical effectiveness.

 

Salary - $140,000.00 - $180,000.00

Responsibilities:

AI Strategy & Architecture:

  • Spearhead the design and implementation of transformative AI initiatives leveraging large language models (LLMs), Generative AI, and Machine Learning to revolutionize core business operations.
  • Architect and deploy secure, scalable, and cloud-native infrastructure and automation pipelines across clinical and administrative teams (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Design and implement Agentic Workflows and multi-agent orchestration systems to automate critical business processes.

Conversational AI & Integration:

  • Develop and deploy Voice AI conversational agents and LLM/RAG conversational agents to streamline employee interactions and internal/external communications (e.g., using OpenAI, Gemini, Vapi, Twilio).
  • Integrate AI tools into enterprise communication platforms (e.g., Google Workspace) to enable non-technical teams to leverage AI agents via natural language interfaces.

Data Integrity & Compliance:

  • Establish robust data analysis and quality assurance agents to ensure the subjective integrity of clinical and operational data (e.g., using LLM-as-a-Judge, IAA).
  • Develop and manage comprehensive AI agent benchmarking, monitoring, and testing frameworks to ensure high performance, reliability, and HIPAA compliance.

Technology Leadership:

  • Collaborate with clinical, compliance, and administrative leadership to ensure AI solutions drive measurable operational outcomes, such as reduced intake time and increased therapist utilization.

Compliance with Centria’s Code of Conduct, policies and procedures, and Federal and State laws.

Responsibility to report violations of Company policies or the Code of Conduct.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline

  • Proven ability to design solutions that meet strict regulatory standards, particularly HIPAA compliance in a healthcare technology environment.
  • Experience with workflow automation platforms (e.g., Workato, Make, n8n) and operational tool integration (e.g., Google Workspace) is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of laptop/desktop PC
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Proficiency in G Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Google Meet)
  • Deep technical proficiency in AI/ML model deployment and application, specifically with LLMs and RAG architectures.
  • Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS) and implementing cloud-native services.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms and APIs, including OpenAI API, Gemini, and custom model development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C# for enterprise application development and AI pipelines.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and working with event-driven architectures, REST APIs, Message Buses, and database technologies (Cosmos DB, SQL).
  • Ability to follow written instructions
  • Ability to use computers and computer/software programs
  • Ability to communicate expressively and receptively
  • 8+ years building production software.
  • More than 5 years of experience in Machine Learning models.
  • More than 5 years of experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS) and implementing cloud-native services to create AI/ML applications.
  • 2+ years in LLM/agentic/RAG systems, including multi-agent orchestration (Semantic Kernel/Langraph) and tool use.
  • Deep Azure expertise: AKS, Azure API Management, Event Hubs/Service Bus, Cosmos DB/Azure SQL/Postgres, Azure AI Search (vector/hybrid), Key Vault, Monitor/OpenTelemetry.
  • Hands-on with Python (primary) and C# (interop/services).
  • Strong and proven knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) and function/tool-calling designs; secure connector development and permissioning.
  • Production RAG (chunking strategies, rerankers, retrieval evaluation), prompt/context engineering, memory handling, and AI evals (offline/online).
  • Demonstrated experience designing and working with event-driven architectures, REST APIs, Message Buses, and database technologies (Cosmos DB, SQL).
  • Proven ability to design solutions that meet strict regulatory standards, particularly HIPAA compliance in a healthcare technology environment.
  • Experience with workflow automation platforms (e.g., Workato, Make, n8n) and operational tool integration (e.g., Google Workspace) is highly desirable.

Working Conditions: REMOTE

  • Centria's office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM.
  • Additional time or occasional shift in schedule may be required to complete the above work or meet company objectives.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, physical requirements such as bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 30 pounds may be required. This role will require sitting most of the day as well as walking and standing periodically. This role may require close visual acuity on computer screens or monitors and the ability to analyze data and figures on a screen.
