Position Purpose
This position is responsible for teaching assigned classes on a regularly scheduled basis.
Job Functions, Duties, & Responsibilities
Teach classes on a regularly scheduled basis, as assigned
Provide tutorial opportunities for students
Assist Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education and/or Campus Executive Director in developing curriculum, preparing course materials and scheduling
Assist Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education and/or Campus Executive Director in maintaining any equipment used by students
Assist students in applying learned material to practical experience
Establish and maintain academic and attendance records for student files
Submit attendance, grades, and all other required reports/documentation to the Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education and/or Campus Executive Director per established campus procedures
Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and/or lab
Notify Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education and/or Campus Executive Director of any current or potential problems which warrant his/her attention
Complete performance-based teacher education modules as assigned by the Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education and/or Campus Executive Director or as needed based on outcomes of classroom observations, instructor evaluations, and student completed surveys
Actively utilized proven retention techniques approved by the school
Coordinate skills labs for students under the guidance of the Program Coordinator
Attend all faculty meetings and in-services as required
Provide notice/alert to Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education and Campus Executive Director regarding student’s absence (first day, third absence, fifth absence)
Monitor, record, and report attendance of all new students during the first three weeks of their first module
Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education, and Campus Executive Director
Education/Experience/Skills
Must have a minimum of three years related practical work experience in the subject
Must demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge and continuing study of the subject matter
Must present a professional image and conduct him/herself in the same manner
Must have proven supervisory experience
Must be able to effectively communicate with staff, faculty, and students
Must work well under pressure, multi-task, and have good organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; prefer Campus Nexus knowledge; and have excellent computer skills
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current ARRT licensure required. Virginia Radiologic Technician State license required within 30 days of hire.
