Infrastructure Engineer (Search)

About the Role

You'll help build and scale the distributed systems that already make Ceramic.ai fast. Our customers will expect fast response times, and you'll ensure we deliver that consistently while handling growing query volumes.

What You'll Do

• Design and maintain distributed search infrastructure across multiple regions
• Optimize query routing, load balancing, and failover strategies
• Build caching layers that maximize hit rates without sacrificing freshness
• Implement monitoring and alerting to catch performance degradations early
• Scale our index management to handle billions of documents efficiently
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years building distributed systems at scale
• Deep experience with search infrastructure
• Strong understanding of caching strategies, sharding, and replication
• Experience optimizing for low-latency, high-throughput workloads
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure
• C++ proficiency
• Deep hands on coding experience 
• Understand the importance of uptime and propose designs that show this awareness.
