The Role:

We are looking for a compassionate Licensed Therapist to support our mission in democratizing access to high-quality mental health care! Cerebral takes a holistic and comprehensive approach when providing care for our patients. Our telemedicine therapists collaborate with prescribers as needed, to support clients during their mental health journey. This therapist role provides direct care for a panel of clients and allows for flexibility when client sessions can be scheduled. You can see clients during traditional business hours, evenings, or on weekends.

This position is a 1099 independent contract role. Current state license requirements include: Arizona, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Nebraska, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, or Washington. If licensed in Iowa, Nebraska, or South Dakota, you must also reside in that designated state due to current payer requirements. 

Who you are:

  • Independently Licensed Therapist in the United States for any of the following license structures: Professional Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Social Work
  • You are licensed and in good standing in at least one state; must be open to obtaining additional state licenses upon starting
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or equivalent
  • Experience in diagnosing mental health disorders in accordance with the DSM-5 criteria
  • Maintain a strong evidence-based clinical skill set while practicing & implementing outcome-focused care
  • Empathetic and intuitive listening
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Knowledgeable in crisis response
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a telemedicine environment
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate various systems & tools with ease (this includes, but is not limited to Google Workspace, Slack, proprietary EMR, etc.)
  • Passionate about our mission of improving access to high-quality mental health care
  • An entrepreneurial spirit or previous experience within a startup or fast-paced environment is preferred

How your skills and passion will come to life at Cerebral:

  • Conduct therapeutically sound sessions with clients weekly or bi-weekly for 45 minutes (cadence dependent on the client's plan)
  • Provide anywhere from 15-40 hours of weekly availability
  • Create your own flexible schedule based on your individual availability! Scheduled time must fall within the hours of 6:00am to 11:30pm per your specific timezone
  • Work collaboratively with prescribers who are managing your clients' medication, in tandem with therapy services you are providing
  • Work alongside other like-minded clinicians that have a common goal to positively impact the lives of others, and create an environment that leads to favorable outcomes for clients

    • Internal credentialing team to handle enrollment to payers that Cerebral is contracted with while continuing to expand our network of payers.
