Product Manager
Who we are
At CerQlar, we are on a mission to shape the standard for settlement in environmental commodities markets. This market, critical for battling climate change through financing and market-based mechanisms, has been held back by a lack of technological disruption.
We believe that settling environmental commodities should be as simple as purchasing an ETF in a modern financial application. Our goal is to automate operators’ work, providing the same predictability and oversight found in modern logistics platforms, while offering sophisticated operational and financial risk management comparable to cutting-edge financial platforms.
CerQlar is uniquely positioned to help our customers increase profitability and operational efficiency through automation, decision-making support, and risk management. By doing so, we aim to shape the standard for settlement in environmental commodities markets, facilitating the transition to sustainable energy sources and contributing to global efforts in combating climate change.
The role
We’re looking for a mid-level Product Manager to help define and deliver core parts of the CerQlar platform. This role involves both product discovery and delivery, and sits at the intersection of operations, data structure, and messy real-world constraints. You will work closely with a Senior PM and the wider team to shape product vision, product delivery, and help us bring clarity to some of the more technical or operational parts of the product through product discovery. Our users come from a wide range of organizations with very different ways of handling settlement operations. Much of the product work involves making sense of conflicting inputs, mapping edge cases, and building structured solutions that can accommodate variation without sacrificing reliability and scalability.
You’ll be expected to take responsibility for initiatives and support cross-functional collaboration, while developing confidence in areas like product logic, workflow design, and stakeholder alignment. You don’t need deep industry experience, but you should be comfortable working through complexity, asking the right questions, and staying close to delivery in a fast paced start-up environment.
Key responsibilities
- Engage deeply in product discovery by talking to users, reviewing messy input, and surfacing common patterns in how settlement operations differ across organizations
- Turn broad or conflicting needs into clear, testable and buildable product scope, with the support of a Senior PM.
- Collaborate closely with the UX designer and tech lead as part of the product trio to ensure that work is well understood, feasible, and aligned with product goals.
- Work alongside Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to incorporate customer feedback and ensure solutions meet real user needs.
- Run product rituals (planning, standups, grooming, etc.) and follow through on execution details.
- Shape solutions for areas involving trade workflows, data models, or backend rules with the support of a Senior PM.
- Clarify user needs through product discovery, reduce ambiguity, and close loops with stakeholders
Experience
- 4+ years of experience in a product management role, ideally in B2B software
- Strong written and verbal communication — you’re able to explain product decisions clearly and follow up reliably
- Comfort working in a technical environment, especially with structured data or workflow-heavy products
- Ability to manage scope, track dependencies, and move work forward with cross-functional teams
- Willingness to learn by doing, ask questions, and get into the details
This role may not be a fit if:
- You’re looking for a strategic or leadership role, this position is scoped for hands on discovery, delivery and growth, not high-level ownership
- You’re uncomfortable working through ambiguity, especially when requirements are evolving or incomplete
- You prefer to focus on only surface level UX, many of our challenges are operational, backend-heavy, or structure-related
What we offer
- Competitive remuneration and bonus scheme;
- Business- and communication-related trainings;
- Relocation budget (when applicable);
- Exciting quarterly target incentives;
