Associate General Counsel

CFG Merchant Solutions, LLC and its affiliate CapFlow Funding Group Managers LLC are searching for an associate general counsel with 5-10 years of experience to join our growing in-house legal team in our Glen Rock, New Jersey office. This position will work closely with and report directly to the Chief Legal Officer on a wide variety of matters on a regular basis. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong legal acumen, superior negotiating skills, impeccable writing skills, and the ability to work autonomously while being a consummate team player. The role plays a critical part in shaping and implementing our legal strategies, supporting all compliance endeavors, supporting the in-house collections team, and handling various litigation and regulatory issues as they arise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Draft, negotiate, and edit a variety of contracts.

· Review and analyze issues as they arise in various bankruptcy, collections, litigation, and regulatory compliance contexts, and assist the Chief Legal Officer in managing outside counsel in these areas.

· Provide legal guidance and support to our collections, reconciliation, and compliance departments.

· Contribute to the development of legal and compliance strategies to protect the interests of the companies and their clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership in good standing in New Jersey and New York required.

· 5-10 years' experience with contract, bankruptcy, and litigation. Experience in areas such as revenue-based financing, invoice factoring, commercial lending and term loans, as well as regulatory compliance, is a plus.

· Proven track record of managing legal matters with minimal supervision.

· Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
