The Opportunity
Fast-growing Colorado Manufacturer’s Rep. firm of commercial HVAC products seeks an experienced Service Account Manager with a proven track record for success. The Service Account Manager is responsible for the management, administration, growth, and profitability of service contracts and projects in the service department. Must have Service Account Management experience in a commercial HVAC environment. Position requires a high level of correspondence with service team, customers, vendors and owners.
Pay Range: $85,000-$140,000 plus bonus potential
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety requirements as specified by the company and/or specific to the various project site safety managers.
- Procure new customers and opportunities with the intent of meeting or exceeding yearly sales goals.
- Planning, organizing, and controlling all aspects of the service contracts; as well as demand service and special projects.
- Work within company software to estimate projects and generate proposals.
- Work with the service coordinators and customers in the process of scheduling service work.
- Provide onsite support and be available to work with service technicians to meet customer needs.
- Manage the contract margins to ensure the profitability of each contract.
- Effectively communicate financial status of service and maintenance projects to the Service Manager.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues immediately in the most cost-effective manner.
- Maintain existing and new vendor/sub-contractor relationships; to guarantee competitive pricing and quick turnaround.
- Maintain a professional and presentable appearance, along with proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Behave in a manner that is in line with company values and promote teamwork.
- Safely operate a company vehicle and maintain an acceptable driving record.
The Required Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college; seven (7) to ten (10) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in commercial HVAC environment.
- Able to pass a background check, drug screening and MVR check.
- Strong PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- An excellent understanding of the operation and control of all mechanical systems.
- Ability to successfully direct and coordinate the requirements of customers, employees, suppliers, and service team members.
- Build and maintain customer relationships for continued success and low customer turnover.
- Physically able to carry materials and tools, visit job sites, climb ladders, access rooftops, crawl spaces, mechanical rooms, and confined spaces.

Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.
Environmental Requirements
Will be required to work in office and field environments. This includes the occasional requirement to be outdoors during cold or hot weather.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally move equipment over 75 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Salary ranges listed are dependent upon a candidate’s qualifications, experience, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the specific role and location.
