Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting

United States - Remote

The role, in a nutshell:

We’re hiring a Senior Manager to lead revenue accounting, billing, and collections during a critical phase of systems transformation and scale. This role owns ASC 606 compliance, manages the full quote-to-cash accounting lifecycle, and will lead a team of two. You’ll report to the Controller and serve as the technical and operational leader for all revenue-related matters. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on ensuring accurate revenue recognition, efficient billing practices, and strong controls around the quote-to-cash cycle.

If you’ve scaled revenue accounting operations in a SaaS environment and enjoy building rigor where processes are evolving, this is a high-impact opportunity.

What you’ll do:

Own revenue recognition and technical accounting

  • Lead all aspects of ASC 606 compliance, including contract review, multi-element arrangements, and variable consideration

  • Partner with Sales Ops, Deal Desk, Legal, and FP&A to ensure alignment across the full quote to cash cycle

  • Oversee accounting for AR, deferred revenue, revenue, and contract assets

  • Ensure audit readiness through strong documentation, reconciliations, and internal controls

Lead billing and collections operations

  • Oversee invoicing, collections, and cash application processes

  • Serve as the escalation point for complex billing and revenue matters

  • Improve accuracy, timeliness, and automationacross the order-to-cash cycle

Manage and develop the revenue team

  • Lead and mentor a team of two (Senior Revenue Accountant and Billing and Collections Specialist)
  • Provide stable, consistent leadership and clear process ownership

  • Establish accountability, documentation standards, and operational discipline

Scale systems and processes

  • Own system design and automation for billing and collections, including evaluating, implementing, and optimizing ERP/CRM integrations (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, etc.)

  • Transition manual workflows into automated, scalable processes

  • Design and formalize revenue policies and controls

  • Build infrastructure to support increasing deal complexity and international expansion

Support monthly close and reporting

  • Own revenue-related close activities

  • Deliver timely, accurate reporting on revenue, deferred revenue, and related metrics

  • Partner closely with FP&A on forecasting and recognition alignment

What we’re looking for:

  • Active CPA license (required)

  • 7+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience with deep ASC 606 expertise

  • Proven leadership experience managing revenue or billing teams

  • Strong NetSuite experience, including Advanced Revenue Management

  • Hands-on ERP/CRM experience (e.g., Salesforce)

  • Experience supporting audits and building revenue documentation

  • Demonstrated ability to scale processes in a high-growth SaaS or subscription environment

  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex revenue concepts

Preferred:

  • Public accounting background (Big 4 or similar)

  • Experience with subscription or usage-based billing models

  • Exposure to international revenue considerations

Who we need:

We need a builder and operator.

Someone who can step into an evolving environment, bring structure and technical depth, and lead revenue through its next phase of maturity. You should be equally comfortable reviewing complex contracts, coaching your Senior Revenue Accountant, partnering with Sales on deal structure, and rolling up your sleeves in NetSuite.

This is a role for someone who enjoys turning manual processes into scalable systems, strengthening controls without slowing the business down, and creating long-term operational rigor.

If you’re looking for a high-visibility revenue leadership role where you can shape systems, mentor a team, and build durable infrastructure — we’d love to talk.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
