The Role

As an AI Agent Engineer at Chai, you will design, develop, and deploy AI-driven solutions that address real-world challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create intelligent systems that learn, adapt, and provide actionable insights, contributing to our goal of making complex processes simple and efficient.

• Build the world’s pioneering and best AI agents to streamline businesses. As an AI engineer at Chai, you will design, build, and refine agents that solve problems no one has tackled before, unlocking new possibilities for the future of AI. 

What We’re Looking For

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to approach complex problems methodically and develop innovative solutions.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with a knack for working effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Adaptability: Eagerness to learn new technologies and methodologies in a rapidly evolving field.
• Experience: Prior experience in developing and deploying AI models in a business environment is a plus.

About You

• 4+ years of experience in a product-focused AI engineering role, with a proven track record of building and deploying scalable, AI-driven solutions that deliver measurable business impact.
• A fluid & flexible person in different tech stacks —it includes Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, and vector databases, with cloud infrastructure in Google Cloud, AWS and Azure, and integrations with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and Perplexity.
• You have experience in a high-growth startup and agencies or fast-paced innovation environment, whether as an early-stage engineer, or AI specialist driving disruptive change.
• You may have prior experience working with LLMs, multi-agent AI systems, and real-world AI deployment challenges. As well as tools like Calude, Replit, n8n, Cursor etc.
• You navigate ambiguity confidently, making quick, informed decisions and adapting as Chai evolves.
• You have a "no task is too big or too small" mindset and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to tackle challenges head-on.
• You are entrepreneurial at heart, constantly experimenting, iterating, and pushing the boundaries of AI to create transformative business solutions.
