What You’ll Present
The Line Cook prepares and cooks food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for customers. You will help keep the kitchen organized and running efficiently. The ideal candidate will ensure proper food handling, sanitation and following food storage procedures.
Job Description
- Sets up stations with all necessary supplies
- Handles, stores and rotates all products properly
- Cooks menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff and food allergen preferences
- Always follows supervisors’ direction
- Follows proper cooking techniques for all dishes
- Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
- Practices correct food handling procedures according to company and state regulations
- Complies with all sanitation and safety regulations
- Maintains a positive and respectful approach with everyone
- Reports all unsafe working conditions, operational needs and equipment or aspects of the kitchen in need of repair to management
- Other duties, responsibilities, and requirements may be assigned as necessary
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Prior experience in restaurant preferred
- Food Handler’s Certification
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holiday
- Ability to address issues in a professional manner through effective interpersonal communication
- Ability to adhere to all company policies and the code of conduct
- Exemplary time and resource management including good attendance
- Ability to cope with fast-paced environments
