About the Role


The Sales Manager plays a key role in driving revenue and expanding Champions Social Club's reach across our dining, events, poker, and Club experiences. This position is responsible for developing new business, strengthening existing relationships, and securing group, corporate, and leisure bookings that maximize revenue opportunities throughout the property.

The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven sales professional who understands how to turn connections into memorable experiences and repeat business. They will develop and execute strategic sales initiatives, cultivate partnerships within the Dallas community, and work closely with Club leadership to create personalized events and experiences that showcase everything Champions has to offer. As an ambassador for the brand, the Sales Manager will help grow Champions’ presence in the market while building lasting relationships with members, guests, businesses, and community partners.

Responsibilities


  • Identify, target, and secure new social, corporate, association, travel agency, and group business opportunities for both our social club and poker business.
  • Lead sales efforts across group business, leisure, and various market segments.
  • Conduct sales calls, presentations, and site inspections.
  • Follow up on inquiries, qualify leads, and convert them into group bookings.
  • Engage in the local community in ways that benefit the venue through approved memberships in organizations, charitable activities, and business community events.
  • Drive sales by prospecting and securing new business, and nurturing relationships with repeat clients. 
  • Maximize revenue opportunities through upselling and cross-selling event services and offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with trusted vendors (florists, entertainment, linen, decorators, etc.) to ensure timely and successful event execution while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service as the main point of contact for clients throughout the planning process, ensuring all event needs and expectations are met.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure the smooth execution of group bookings, including BOEs, social and meeting functions, catering, and event logistics.
  • Draft and negotiate group rates, terms, and contracts in alignment with the Club’s objectives, ensuring clarity on event details, pricing, and expectations.
  • Maintain accurate CRM and sales records.
  • Monitor local competitors and industry trends to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Strategize with the overall Club Leadership team to track and analyze sales progress and business trends monthly to determine the most effective tactics.

Experience & Qualifications


  • 2+ years of experience in hotel sales or group sales management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, event planning, and group booking processes.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite and event management software.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Strong vendor negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
  • Knowledge of hospitality and event industry trends.
  • Experience and/or love of the casino gaming industry.
