Financial Senior Analyst

Overview:

Champions Group Holdings is a fast-growing Heating and Air Conditioning, Plumbing, and Electrical Home Services Company, and we are looking to add a key member to our Finance team. Knowledge of forecasting models, financial and operational systems, and data mining are key requirements for this role. The accomplished Senior Financial Analyst will forecast revenues and expenditures and advise on future financial and operational insights. Ultimately, you will ensure our financial planning processes and analytics are robust and align with business objectives.

This position is an exempt, at-will position in an office setting (at our Brea, CA location), reporting to a member of the Finance management team. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Provide monthly/quarterly reporting package to business partners, including P&L variance analysis of actuals vs. budget and prior year, as well as detailed reporting of the month's activities and delivering insights to management.
  • Partner with operational business colleagues on special projects and decision support.
  • Demonstrates financial acumen and/or analytical experience when reviewing variance analysis or data interpretation of results.
  • Root cause analysis and uncovering core issues using data extraction/mining
  • Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis
  • Conduct thorough research of historical financial and operational data
  • Coordinate with the Regional Controller and the Division Presidents on long-term financial planning
  • Participate in the annual operating plan (for departments and projects)
  • Review accounting transactions for data accuracy
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions
  • Support month-end and year-end close process 
  • General Accounting and database systems knowledge 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with financial, operational and statistical software
  • Expertise in MS Excel (advanced formulas, Power Pivot/Query, etc)
  • Familiarity with finance databases
  • Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP)
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts
  • Demonstrable strategic thinking skills
  • Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
  • Multi-entity environment
  • Workday Adaptive, Domo, Tableau expertise a plus
  • Occasional travel possible

 Education:

  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Relevant certification (e.g., CFA/CPA/CMA) is a plus

 Physical Demands:

  • Occasionally lift and/or move objects 20 lbs. 
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Required to sit and climb or balance
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

Pay Range

$85,000 - $105,000 USD
