Training and Development Specialist

Overview:

*This is a hybrid position*

As a Training Specialist, you’ll bring your expertise to design, coordinate, and evaluate training initiatives that elevate our workforce. With a focus on training coordination, Learning Management System (LMS) administration, performance measurement, and instructional design, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our programs are effective and engaging. This mid-level position is perfect for someone with a solid foundation in training who’s ready to take ownership of projects in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

Training Coordination: Plan, schedule, and coordinate essentials (materials, tools, IT, etc.) for training programs, workshops, and company-wide learning initiatives. Manage logistics & expenses, ensuring seamless execution for facilitators and participants. Maintain training calendars, track attendance, and gather post-training feedback. Ensure smooth delivery through proactive planning and problem-solving.

LMS Administration: Manage the day-to-day operations of our Learning Management System, including uploading courses, maintaining user accounts, generating reports, and resolving technical issues to optimize the learner experience.

Measuring Training Performance: Assess training effectiveness using surveys, performance data, and feedback. Analyze results to provide insights and recommend enhancements that align with business goals.

Content Development: Create and refine training materials and curriculums such as e-learning modules, presentations, and guides tailored to diverse audiences. Apply adult learning principles to develop content that’s both engaging and practical.

Collaboration: Work with department leaders to identify training gaps and customize solutions that support operational success. Partner with the Training & Development team members to maintain & deliver high-quality training standards across all programs.

Continuous Improvement: Leverage your experience to suggest improvements to training processes and stay informed on emerging tools and trends in the field.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in training coordination, instructional design, or LMS administration.
  • Proven skills with Learning Management Systems (ADP, Cornerstone, etc.) and e-learning tools (Articulate, Captivate, Canva, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a track record of managing successful training projects.
  • Clear communication skills to connect with learners, stakeholders, and team members effectively.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with a passion for building practical, impactful learning experiences.

Pay Range

$80,000 - $90,000 USD
